There's nothing wrong with making the fights more interesting if it doesn't alter the flow of the overall narrative. Also, I hope there are more flashbacks. I've been pleased by most of the original material so far.

I fully expect an Archer flashback. Maybe a Lancer one, too. We're going through days fast as fuck, and they need to fill 9 more episodes.
They've been going at about half a day each episode, and the preview for 17 looks like it's going to keep on the mark with that.
To be fair that original episode before the Gil-Herc fight was my most enjoyable one so far. Mostly because they made Gilgamesh feel just a little bit more like a proper king.
Worst part is le special tailored OST.

I like the tracks a lot when I listen to them standalone but when they're in the anime they leave absolutely no impression except for Archer's track.
The Ilya episode was right up with Fate/Zero imo. I love how ufo are mixing the old with the new.

The flashback in the middle of the fight felt awkward and chopped up the flow of the battle, and they made the massive mistake of having Ilya stand beside Berserker instead of behind. That completely screws up the point.

I don't really agree with that. They were nice, but there's plenty of other good tracks. If you compare the first OST of Fate/Zero to UBW, I actually think UBW's music is better. There's a lot filler on the Zero album.
