How much are they going to butcher the manga with the upcoming anime? Will Actas live up to the expectations?
Not sure how much can really be butchered. As long as the characters aren't as simple as the one dimensional babies they are in the original post I'll probably be fine with it.

By modern anime customs they'll flatten out everything that made the original story interesting. And give everybody cellphones and tablets.
A bit more seriously, I don't know. There's a lot of raw goodness in Devilman that can be easily be ruined by a poor execution. Even if they follow most of the story beats they can mess it up if the mood isn't right.
At least they have the live action movie to learn what not to do
