I honestly think this was a very good chapter.
Kiyoshi showed he has dignity, principles and feelings (cried for the first time?), and Hana was innocent and cute as always, showing jealousy.
It's a much better outcome that opens up possibilities to other interesting ones and makes the characters feel human.
You guys really wanted for them to just piss and be done with it? Their story evolved way past this level, it would just be boring.
Wanted Chiyo to interrupt? Nobody actually wanted that, and it would be just as boring.
Wanted them to just have sex? That would be stupid and incoherent. Suddenly every character starts having sex? There was no development for them to go that far yet. The point was sexual tension as always, and ended up also evolving the story.
I also think it would be nice he ending up with Chiyo or Hana either way. I trust Hiramoto, who made this amazing story so far, to give us a good drama about this, even if it has a bittersweet ending with Chiyo. This is not a doujin, goddamn. It's not (just) for you to fap to your waifu, and the story is much more interesting that way.

I think its already been said before. Chiyo is being used as a tool, or guidance for the main characters morality instead of him figuring out the situation for himself. Those kind of characters are fucking crap. Look at the mari ouroboros thing. Chiyo was a main driver for him to do it when it didnt have to be at all. It was his life and a growing friendship with maris life on the line. Why did chiyo matter at all here? So if mari wasnt chiyos sister he wouldnt give a fuck and none of that would have happened?
