Just because she won't get to play a role in any of the remaining fights doesn't mean she doesn't get to influence the flow of the story. If anything, this chapter pointed out that the only reason he hesitated before using Incursio against was because of her, and the fact that she lived leads us to believe that maybe, just maybe there is a spark of happiness that Tatsumi can find should he survive the final battle.
The Tatsumi at this point is not the same as the Tatsumi in the anime precisely because Mine survived. In the anime, he has lost everything, and his promise to survive became an empty one because he does not have anything left, where Mine surviving directly gives Tatsumi something to live for in the manga.
