After that, he trained with Kaio. Goku's powerlevel when he revived without using Kaioken was over 8000, so Yamcha might have managed to receive a big boost from that training. Maybe.

The manga indicates that Goku only tapped the SSG power for a brief second.
In all likelihood, that's what's going on. Goku still can't summon the power on demand. So he's basically fighting at somewhere above SS3, but below SSG, with maybe one or two attacks at that level, where Frieza is always at his power.
Beerus is consistently miles above Goku (If Goku is a 6, Beerus is a 10, and Whis a 15)
So my bet, Frieza's a 5 right now, and Goku's having problems jumping back up to 6, so he loses.
If Vegeta jumps up to a 6, and can learn to relax a little, he could have the edge.
I expect this movie will have no one reach higher than 7.
