There have been very few that have managed to have that mindset yet come out as decent people. Most of the time they just come across as chicks with severe daddy issues, dykes, or bitches whose company nobody would want. Conversely, a strong and independent woman who's a decent person and is strong and independent because she wants to be and not because she's doing it because she hates men is a beautiful and wonderful thing, and they make some of the best characters.
