12GB for a 1080p film is big but not too big.
Shit like >>122443497 is 2.7GB for a 23 minute episode, which is just an upscale.

>Coalgirls at least makes somewhat tolerable filesizes.
are you sure about that
>>
>>122443544
1080p movies should aim to be at around 6-10 GB. 12 GB is not bad.
>>
>>122443750

They're tolerable for me at least. I still have over 4 TB of free disk space...

Unix anything.

It would be far more simple if du supported excluding directories. You could just do it like this if you didn't mind directories too.

du -ah /path/to/anime | sort -h
>>
>>122443783
If you're encoding for high quality you should never aim for any arbitrary file size. Just give the encode the bitrate the source requires.
>>
>>122443860
Sorry. You're right.
I just don't like archiving files that are way beyond that size.

This is okay. Pretty lightweight client. But it's so damn slow, at least for me.
>Deluge:
Bloated piece of shit. Slow and eats too much resources.
>Transmission:
Another good one, lightweight, simple and just work. But it lacks features like RSS with may be a problem if you want to download your animu automatically. Can be solved by using it along with Flexget or Taiga if you're a MALfag.
>Halite
Dead.
>Vuze
Java, slow and shit.
>uTorrent
It's simple, fast and has pretty much everything you need. Use it if you don't give a fuck about botnet, ads or muh freedom. Watch out the shits it may install on your computer though (don't fucking click okay/next/agree at everything when installing), especially EpicScale.

Didn't this only get discovered recently though? I mean, like actually confirmed, not just /g/ calling everything that isn't FOSS a botnet. Some fags might not have heard the news yet. I found it hilarious how utorrent's site moderators actually tried to defend using people's PCs to mine buttcoin when users brought attention to it on their forums.

Single largest individually? No idea but my largest anime collection on my laptop is my Gundam Universal Century stuff, around 111GB all together, lacking Zeta since I'm going to get EG's for archiving purposes since I've already watched OZC's.
>>
>>122444250
I don't have a huge amount of experience with torrent clients, but Qbittorent just werks for me. People always seem to complain about it being slow or torrents stalling too much, but it seems fine to me
>>
>>122447101

qbt's default settings are a bit on the low side, maybe that's why?
