I just prefer being able to listen in English, as long as its not outright bad. If the dub breaks certain scenes, ruins dialogue or shits on characterisation then yeah I'd like to avoid it. Akane is great, I just wish she didn't have the almost-unlistenable voice.
I love how fanartists really latch onto a run with some of the silliest/shallowest things about a character, especially at the beginning of a series. Like, if you didn't watch Precure and just happened to stumble across the tag, you could reasonably assume that donuts are a major point of Minami's characterization. Like, she probably has as much donut themed art than any of the Freshes now.

I must disagree with you. I feel Doki and HaCha blew their load too early. All the cool stuff and well written episodes happened early on, which left us spinning our wheels until the last arc. Granted both had stand out episodes in the middle but they were few and far between.
I feel GoPri is going for slow and steady. Granted we are only 4 episodes in so I could be wrong. However so far none of the episodes have been a dud in my book.
Still with precure you need a least 10 episodes to really get a feel for it so lets just wait and see and hope for the best.

I'm going through the series in chronological order myself, I went from Futari wa to Max Heart to Splash Star and now I'm 8 episodes away from finishing Yes 5. I'm going to be completely honest in my opinion even though I know its not going to be a popular one but I wasn't a huge fan of the first two seasons. There was only so much of Honoka and Nagisa interacting with no one else other than the fairies that I could handle and Hikari was a very brief reprieve from the monotony. It just wasn't all that interesting with 2-3 girls having the exact same interactions while fighting the exact same monster for 90 some episodes.
But I would have taken more of that over the train wreck that was Splash Star. I know people here like to say that it gets better after the first 20 episodes but I would disagree. My biggest complaint is the fact that Saki and Mai are LITERALLY carbon copies of Nagisa and Honoka and I just don't understand why they thought that was a good route to take. I only started to somewhat enjoy myself at the point where Shitataare showed up because it seemed to get a little more quirky but the whole Kaoru and Michiru angle drained what little fun remained for me. The final fight was great though.
Yes 5 is the best season I've seen thus far and I do mean that. Its such a relief to have more than three girls interacting, not to mention the fact that they can transform on their own without needing a partner is just a blessing from the gods. My biggest complaint for this season is just how many toys they were trying to pedal and the crater sized holes in the plot but I have greatly enjoyed this ride. All the other seasons up until now have taken me 4+ months to finish but I'm finishing Yes 5 in under two months if that gives you any idea how much I'm enjoying it.
