I'm not going to pretend Nisekoi isn't 200% made up of cliches, but I think Nisekoi pulls off those cliches really well. I'm also not going to argue if you reply to me with "that's bullshit" but myself I really enjoy Nisekoi most of the time.

It is a literal turd of an anime.
Most other harem anime share only some of its elements, and this one carries all that is bad about the genre(which mostly sucks anyway)in full high concentration. Beyond that, it is is just reaction images the anime, no hint of any real substance, no comedy that can make one laugh. There is only emptiness within the show itself, a black hole of feces.
This series is the same as Hearthstone for me. It's trash, my time spent with it has been mostly miserable, but at this point I already wasted so much fucking time on it, that if I don't stick with it my mind will break over how stupid I was.

But I actually enjoyed Nisekoi. I actually hate the harem genre, but it was one of the few things that season which I genuinely enjoyed watching. It was so over the top and cliched that it felt more like a parody than a serious attempt, regardless of whether or not it was meant that way, and it did so with style and lots of pretty art to look at. I loved both of the main girls as well. The most frustrating thing about it was how they kept adding more boring side girls to the main love triangle, it was already perfect with moeblob and gorilla and Ruri-chan as a non-harem side character, they didn't need to start adding a bunch of uninteresting extra girls who have no chance of winning anyway to take away screentime from the main ones. Even so, I would happily watch another season of it, and it would probably be refreshing with the complete lack of anything good this season.
Pretty sure most people on here like it.
Make no mistake, the plot is going nowhere and it couldn't get more generic but it's still very much enjoyable and fun.
