Because I'm not at all interested in the characters. They don't stand up well on their own and I am not at all endeared to their circumstances or otherwise interested in where their lives and struggles go.
They come off as handpuppets used to prop up the director's thesis on futility and the nuances of gendered romance and I just don't care. The premise and the author's take on things are interesting but I don't think much of it as a narrative and indeed, don't think it holds up too well in that sense at all.
I might pick it up again towards the end of its run but it's not really something I care enough to watch in season.
