She must surely look forward to returning to her iconic role.
>Yfw they announce S3 of haruhi exactly one season after the initial runtime of Yuki-chan.
>Yfw everyone is disappointed at the end of Yuki-chan because no S3 was announced.
>Yfw /a/ goes batshit insane because s3 of haruhi wasn't announced immediately after yuki got done airing in order to ruse everyone - and instead was announce +1 season after just to shock everyone
Seriously, that is what's gonna happen. You fucking watch. Kyoani knows how to get people hyped.
They're gonna pull a double ruse, with something like "Oh h-hey, yeah...here's some yuki chan. No? Not good enough? well, sorry anon...maybe next time....AHHH JUST KIDDING FAGGOT HERE'S SOME S3" tier trolling

No each frame was by KyoAni.There are a few frames still out there that completely finish the video in a much smoother way, and in theory I believe they'll be released at the end of Yuki-chan finale, where the video ends in aHaruhi S3 announcement
I thought my tastes have outgrown this.

>>119609759
>>119609759
It's going to be shit, isn't it?
I mean, I'm hyped for more Haruhi, but I read a bit of the manga and it was a piece of shit.
This has no substance outside Yuki-pandering
>>119627093
I felt the same way about the Haruhi-chan spinoff manga. Yet the anime was a complete hit
>>119609759

>>119617142
I HATE IT
Read the manga as well, it's not THAT big a piece of shit...I'd consider myself a Yuki fag, but I was also really very much against this portrayal of Yuki, which is so far out of character. I didn't like her in the movie, but I loved movie version Haruhi. I read the manga, and it grew on me a bit, but mostly for the shennanigans between Tsuruya and Asakura, and Haruhi as well. At least that's going to be a hell of a lot of fun to watch animated. Also I was pleased that there's minimal Mikuru being moe. Yuki is tolerable, I guess, more tolerable in the manga than in the movie imo. We'll just have to wait and see how it gets adapted. If nothing else, I'll just be glad to see these characters on the screen again.
>>119609759
>Yuki's anime is huge success
>Your face when that happens?
>>119613714
>Sasaki
>>119632248
>Also I was pleased that there's minimal Mikuru being moe.
That's probably because Yuki took her role as main moeblob of series, thus Mikuru has nothing much to do except being bullying target for Haruhi or Tsuruya.
>>119633122
>Haruhi forcing out a huge shit.wbm
>>119632248
>Yuki is tolerable, I guess, more tolerable in the manga than in the movie
What are you talking about? Movie Yuki was hardly out of character. She was EXACTLY how I'd imaging Nagato if she awoke one day with emotions. Chan Yuki is way out of character. She doesn't even like books!
There was that one point where she forgot who she was, THAT part was good.
>>119625483
I don't see it.
>>119633225
>>119633832
>She doesn't even like books!
What are you talking about? Did you ever read it?
>>119609759
If Yuki-chan got an S2 instead of an S3 for the main series I'd probably delete my rips of the series from my HDD, burn the LNs I own, throw my Yuki figures in the garbage, delete all my Haruhi screenshots and reaction images and try to forget the series ever existed because S3 is never coming.
>>119634228
>Did you ever read it?
What are you, an idiot?! That's the version of her that was hit by a car that I spoke about! The version of her that I said was good.
>>119610190
Haruhi is the best anime to be favorited.
>>119625483
Aren't those doujins?
>>119634670
No, one of them is the new LN by shakugan no shan's author.
>>119633832
>Movie Yuki was hardly out of character
She was out of character from the original Yuki. And yeah, she is SUPPOSED to be out of character since the world got changed and all, but for me and I'm sure for many Yukifags, her emotionless demeanor is what makes her special and often cute. Her lack of emotional expression is what makes those occasional moments where her true feelings come through so much cuter.
>Yuki
>Ever doing good

>>119610456
But this isn't a spin-off, this is fan-fiction.
>>119634551

Nah, who would want to watch some show with fake Yuki.
According to wikipedia:When he joins the organization committee for the joint Kouyouen-North High festival, Kyon is reunited with Sasaki, an old friend from middle school. Their renewed friendship draws a confession out of Sasaki that could change everything! A romantic challenger has appeared!!
Have I missed something? When did Sasaki ever appear?

>>119635114

>>119635459
>mfw The Melancholy of Mikuru Asahina
So fucking boring. I thought it was going to be something major like going back in time again but it was just fucking nothing.
So I'm reading the LN, can I skip some chapter?
It's really boring sometimes
>>119635664
Yeah, you can skip all of them.
>>119635664
Don't read them, save yourself for S3.
>>119635664
>reading
>>119635515
She gets more development in Intrigues, that's for sure.
>>119635664
You can directly begin with LN5 instead of rereading everything.
I really enjoy reading and tried to read them, but to be honest, they were godawful. There's something in them, the way they are written. Kyoanus direction makes them look much smarter and funnier, on the paper they are just very autistic scifi. I really, really want to read them, but it's hard as hell.
>>119635835
I'm already near the end of the 6th volume, I wanted to ask it because lot of chapter is :
- 1st part Kyon monologue
- something happens
- Kyon monologue again
- Yuki/Mikuru/Koizumi do something
- It was Haruhi's fault
- Kyon monologue
Even the Kyon monologue supposed to be the best part, is the same thing again and again
>>119635664
Start with Snow Mountain Syndrome in book 5. Everything up to that point was covered int he anime.
>>119636207
If you're talking about the LNs then I agree, I gave up on them halfway through book two.
>>119636253
Well, if you don't like it, drop it. I don't see what's wrong with Kyon's monologues or the plot though, it's the same as in S1 and S2. SOS Brigade shenanigans, shit happens, shit's resolved with one character usually getting development, conclusion.
>>119636253
You have to imagine it in Sugita's voice. Also, if you don't like the premise of Haruhi in the first place you of course wouldn't enjoy them.
>>119636253
The last three volumes (9-11) are all one big story. I think 7 is also a single story. Remember, a lot of these were short stories posted in a magazine.
What was she hiding?
>>119636520
Her fanfiction. Or porn.
Or maybe it had something to do with that "escape program" Kyon activated later on
>>119636520
I'd bet my left nut it was dating sims.
>>119636207
I didn't see much of a difference, except the OSTs. Kyoani added a few anecdotes and details but the LN has more Kyon monologues. The characters also get more development than in S1 and 2.
>>119633225
Pretty close
>>119636458
>a lot of these were short stories
There's the problem, It felt like side stories
>>119636699
Yeah, LN6 has the most short stories. The melancholy of Mikuru Asahina is foreshadowing for LN7 and to make you understand that Future Mikuru can't really be trusted and Love at first sight is Nagato character development but the rest is either already animated or a side story.
Snowy Mountain Syndrome was important though.
>>119636699
Wavering and Intrigues were pretty weak, IMO, although Intrigues had its moments. 8-11 were fantastic.
>>119636975
Intrigues had a boring middle but a great ending character-wise.
>>119636857
>>119636975
Thank you, gonna read Snowy Mountain Syndrome then The Melancholy of Mikuru Asahina
And probably the last question, is the vol 7 only one story(continuation of Mikuru Asahina) or filled with short stories?
>>119636520
The escape program, she probably didn't really know it was the escape program but rather it was some subconscious stuff
>>119637153
Snowy Mountain Syndrome is LN5 though.
Don't forget to read LN6 prologue, it explains what happened in Disappearance.
>>119637153
It's one big story that involves time travel. Definitely one for Mikuru fans. I didn't like it much because it lacked Haruhi.
>>119609759
It won't.
There will never be Haruhi S3. Ever. It won't ever happen. Stop going on about this.
You're retarded. Enjoy your pachinko.
>>119637231
>LN6 prologue
That's LN7.
>>119637278
>>119637153
Although as that other guy said, the ending to Vol 7 was very strong. I fucking loved it. Any time anyone says Suzumiya Haruhi isn't a nice person, I'd quote them the end of that book.
>>119637278
Haruhi has less screentime after her big arc (Melancholy), it focus more on other brigade members. But her apparitions have more strength. That Kyon monologue about her having changed, in Vol 8, was moving.
>>119637382
>>119637318
>>119637278
>>119637231
Thank you, I feel more motivated now
For those who know, the official books or the fan-translations?
I was reading the books at home and the fan-trans at work (on my phone), and I just felt like the official books did a better job not being confusing, yet I wonder if that's due to some liberal amounts of localization.
>>119636627
The difference most likely is how great directing makes things interesting. Also Kyon monologues are nothing special, unless god-tier voice acting
So did they fuck yet?
>>119637641
Season finale, Haruhi interrupts before anything happens, it's up to you to figure out what happens after
Which Haruhi would youcum inside?
>>119637704
Track outfit.
>>119637587
What makes Kyon's monologues great for me is how based he is. He's a very logical thinker but he can make his train of thought interesting. He's an extension of the reader's voice and it makes it easier to get immersed in the atmosphere of the story. You have to imagine it with Sugita's voice for maximum effectiveness though.
For the directing, well, I guess my mind made up for it. Having seen the anime before probably helps.
>>119609759

>>119637704

>>119637704
ALL. OF. THEM.
But if I had to pick

2) orange shirt and jacket
3) cheerleader

>>119637576

>>119637704
None. I'm not allowed.I want Haruhi-sama to cuck me with niggers, stamp on my prick dick and shit on my face.
>>119617871
So are they going to make WA2 S2?
>>119637833
Another thing that makes them more powerful is the very construction of the novels. Big flashy events sometimes happen but in the end they don't amount much compared to other seemingly trivial events once you understand what they mean. And Kyon is helping the reader to connect the dots while also being his own character and presenting his own view on the situation. Haruhi's evolution is touching especially because we get to see it from Kyon's point of view and to see how the way he perceives her evolves too.
Check out this screenshot from Live Alive, the background. Detail like this I tend to notice after a few viewings, and I must say I am impressed.

First of all I doubt that Yuki-chan anime goes so far to introduce Sasaki. At least not in the first season. And if by any chance we get second season, then Sasaki is simply introduced as Kyon's childhood friend and new love rival for Yuki. You won't be lost, but you simply don't recognize her as familiar character.
