I live in Canada so nothing but a pleb tier collection here. Either I can't purchase it or its expensive as fuck. Recently though I have started buying again.
Not much at all. The few manga by Inio Asano that are in english, Girls Und Panzer vol 1 and 2, Doujin Work vol 1. That's about it, really.

Dorohedoro
The Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer
Watamote
UzumakiMonmusu
I haven't bought shit in months, but I'll eventually get all the volumes for S&W, EVA, Toradora! and Aku no Hana. AoT was a gift by my brother and I'm not too sure if I want to keep buying Kieli. Missing Haruhi #3 because I lent it to a friend. I have Elfen Lied because Iactually like the manga. It's fun to read.
>>118613928
Payed something like 60 i think, was awhile ago now.
Can't be arsed taking a photo.
Black Lagoon 1-3
Dragon Ball missing just a few volumes and a bunch of Dr Slump.
Eden: It's an Endless World complete.
Exxxaxion 1-4
GitS
Gundam Wing 1-3(only because I subscribed for it along with a bunch of other manga, to this day I haven't finished even the first volume and it's been more than a decade)
Karin 1-2 in a single volume
Love Hina 1-2
Neon Genesis Evangelion 1-11 with no volume 6 and twice the 7 because I'm mentally challenged
Solanin Complete
Taniguchi Jiro's Zoo in Winter and Solitary Gourmet
I got into Dragon Ball as a teenager, bought it and Dr Slump because of Toriyama, as well as some stuff(GitS, first volumes of Exxxaxion, Gundam Wing, and Eden) because I saw in manga magazines I bought because of Dragon Ball. I didn't really get into manga/anime back then since I couldn't afford to buy almost anything and I didn't have internet yet.
NGE I started buying right after I properly got into anime a couple years later. Got distracted but I'll but the remaining volumes eventually.
Black Lagoon, Love Hina, Karin, and Zoo in Winter is stuff I randomly picked out at bookstores in the past couple years on a whim. I'll get the rest of Black Lagoon eventually.
At the point I bought Solanin I already read the scanlation and it became one of my favorite manga so I kind of felt obliged. Solitary Gourmet I bought recently because I've been meaning to reading for a long time because of some touhou doujinshi, and because by now I became quite fond of the mangaka.
Not really much considering the first thing from this list I bought in 2001. First I was a poor kid with monthly allowance that was enough for a single book or 1.5 volumes of manga, and I was way more into Sci-Fi and Fantasy books than into manga. Then I was a poor NEET for a couple years and while I have a job now living expenses take up most of my meager paycheck. If you can tell where I live from this list, please don't tell anyone.
Is licensing light novels really that unprofitable? It worked out for Haruhi didn't it? Surely publishing the F/Z novel in the west would work? They could market the KnK novels as 'from the author of FSN!' or some shit. I don't know if I'm out of touch with popularity, but TM is pretty popular over here right? Maybe it's not a question of popularity. Does anyone here know how it works?
>>118614312
A license for well known properties tend to be much more expensive. The math for them probably just doesn't add up.
>>118614312
You're out of touch with the times. Just recently, they've licensed:
>No Game No Life
>Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka
>Index
>SAO
>Accel World
>Hataraku! Maou-sama
>Log Horizon
And they're still publishing Spice & Wolf.
If anything, they're licensing popular light novels for the entry-level fanbase. Fate/Zero might be a little too much, but it's possible, unless Type-Moon is against the idea of filthy gaijins reading stuff related to their works.
Post yfw people PAY for ching chong ping pong korean bootleg comics.
>>118614500
dark horse loves DMCA'ing like mad, so I ain't got a choice.
>>118614312
>>118614434
That's also why you won't probably see the F/SN VN licenced for the west for a long while, even the censored version. The market for straight VNs is iffy at best, and the ones that actually manage to do decently have other gameplay elements (999/VLR has puzzle shit, ace attorney and danganronpa has whodunnit/detective shit, you could go as far as to say persona is kind of like a vn, but it's more a RPG with VN like elements so to me that's pushing it).
>>118614462
All I want is Baccano.
>>118614618
There are more possibilities of DRRR!! getting licensed than Baccano getting any kind of attention.
>>118614916
I know. And it upsets me.
>>118614500

A copy of Conan vol 67 in Chinese, I picked this up on a whim when I saw it in a convenience store here. It was only like a dollar, I bought it sort of as a joke to myself that one day I would become proficient enough with Chinese to be able to read this.

Volume two of Zaregoto (in English).
There's been a lot of these threads lately. Here's my collection minus the 13 volumes of Golgo 13 that I bought myself for Christmas that remained wrapped under the tree.
>>118613782

Thick volumes are fine, but you have to make them larger and sturdier as you add pages.

It's a less campy take on Gundam. Characters, events, and backstories are more fleshed out. It really expands on Char's backstory. Yaz's art is really beautiful.

>>118634467
In terms of physical quality, paper's thin and in general tanks won't withstand as much abuse as trade paperbacks. But that's probably a moot point for most people.
In terms of presentation, you're always getting a slipcover, which makes the reading experience classier. And you're never going to get some weeb ad copy on the back cover, or find typos, or come to terms with atrocious typesetting. You're just buying a normal book with normal quality standards.
>All these niggas with the Spice and Wolf novels only up to Volume 6

Because they're expendable entertainment.
Only black and white means only printing one ink instead of four, letting you escape with even cheaper paper in the telephone catalog-sized magazines. It also cuts off the need for a colorist and color-QC. I suggested this for /co/ to get paper rolling again, but america seems to have fucked itself over.
When reading, B&W is easier on the eyes, and removes the jump from color drawings to B&W text.

I have too many books, and besides I don't think people would recognize half of them.
Here's the more recent purchases though, I haven't really organized them, just stuffed them in a open bookshelf.
Notable stuff are like OPM, Mob Psycho 100, Birdmen, Shut Hell, Twin Spica, etc.
The bottom shelf shown is all Log Horizon and Gate JSDF.

And in 4 years the top got completely crammed with figuring boxes...

Looks like Billy's got some new names on the hit list
>>118648284
it was good, not as epic as I hoped for for Helman, but better than 8.

Good job getting Sidonia
Bonus points for Rei and the Baneblade.
I only have the translated Harmony, by Itoh, Battle Royale, by Koushun and the Alice one people were shilling before.
Thinking about buying the other Itoh book.

Needs more OP figs.
Might as well post mine.
I could repost my brick shelves, but I suspect they've been seen enough in these threads by now.
It's interesting to see what people own, I'll definitely go check out 放課後さいころ倶楽部.
I have Another Monster, in Italian, because Amazon didn't mention there was no English release. But I have a translated pdf.
I sold/gave them all after realizing that I won't ever re read them and that I haven't even unpacked them after moving more than 1 year ago. Feel liberating man letting go of your earthly possessions.
>>118648278
Nice figure.

>Azumanga Daioh

Those (especially first 2) are pretty much a staple of most /a/non shelves, to be honest, so doesn't count much.
Unless you're living in a country that hates SoL and cute girls and have to import at very least US/Eng/FR releases to get you hands on them.Like me.
Need a new shelf.

>Evangelion spines spell out EVANGELION completely on top

>>118652000
Nice setup anon.
Is that a mini easel you are displaying your Mami-Nagisa character board on? I like it.
>>118653032
This reminds me Monster is still on my backlog, I'm assuming it's a good watch/read so I won't ask about it. Is Pluto also good?
>>118653326
>Is Pluto also good?
I found it much better than Monster.
But suffer of same issues of a lot of Urasawa works, to be honest.
>>118653436
>But suffer of same issues of a lot of Urasawa works
Which are?
>>118648278
Are all the volumes still available to buy?
>>118612434
Also, expecting 2 more volumes of Shokugeki.
>>118612615
Hey I have the same copy of Neuromancer!
>>118630362
I only have the first one, but it's fine. I asked for 2-4 for christmas. The only thing that sucks is that, because it had 28 volumes, the 28th is not included, so you have to buy that separately.
>>118653459
I would also like to know this.
What have you guys bought recently?
There's more above and below this pictures, but I have a pretty shitty taste.
>>118655841
Spice and Wolf manga.
Still have to order some volumes (and hunt down the 1, as seems to be out of stock/print right now here), but i'm quite happy with it as whole (translation, format and such).
I forgot how fucking perfect manga Holo was, damn.
>>118655841
All of TLR darkness, assman's art book, and a collection of comic LO covers.
>>118655841
The last Trigun Maximum omnibus and latest Farmland Saga.
I was goning to slap in a huge load from Bookdepository, but christmas came in between. Shit would just be stalled by two weeks.
>>118655851
I like the ningen shikkaku just chilling there next to all those light novels.
>>118656848
I just realized that. All of my non-LN Japanese books are suppose to be in another shelf.
I need a new shelf.
>>118614618
I'm not sure I can handle the fan translations getting dropped and waiting a decade to catch up.
>>118658851
Yeah, the one you currently have is a bit sideways
Does anyone know of any good artbooks centring around bondage, particularly loli bondage, that I could add on to my next Amazon.co.jp order?
