Well there is enough detail to figure out without subs.
1. The Themepark is now at maximum capacity, they are cramming as many visitors as they can on weekends. They even finished the late night construction. But they are still going to miss the quota because they can't catch up from the low visitor count earlier in the year.
2. Kayne and the crew was desperate enough to consider free admission and 24 hour operation. But it just isn't possible.
3. Kayne was finally told of Latifah's curse from Sento. And then Moffle told him the 2nd element of the curse. Kayne also remembered his previous visit to the park as a child and how he promised to save Latifah.
4. Summer holiday has started so Kayne is working at the park full-time. Bonus appearance of Ice Cube welcomed, as she only showed up once in the novels.
