Age of Decadence. Split it up into 3-4 episode arcs from the viewpoint of a character of each different class/guild (grifter, thief, merchant, etc) at the end of which the MC is killed. Maybe have the last arc go a couple eps longer and have the character survive if you want a happy ending.
