What the actual fuck was the purpose of the DDr machine? It sure as hell wasn't training the routine we see them using to fight the angel. How did Shinji even learn to backflip like that? I mean, with the Eva, you're in mental control of it, right? You can't do things you don't actually know how to do. In fact, with a lower than 100% synch ratio, shouldn't it be even harder to do things requiring delicate balance like that than it would be in your normal body? Not even mentioning the different balance an Evangelion would have compared to your normal body in the first place? I'm not saying the episode isn't good-- it was. It was no Zeruel episode, but it was good, at least for the character development. But it made zero fucking sense to me.
