There are reasons the Japanese prefer this oversensitive control setup and high maneuverability - you would need those for TSFs focused on melee combat. As a test pilot Yuuya's is supposed to understanding the end user's requirements and ensure the product meets those requirements, not yell as loudly as he can that the customers are morons. As the Shiranui Second's test pilot he's supposed to run the machine through specific flight maneuvers to gather data on its flight characteristics and push the envelope to make sure the machine is working as it was supposed to.
Instead he is dead set that the Japanese TSFs are inferior, shitty, and that it isn't his fault he can't make it work but the machine's fault for being Japanese and not American.
