Not all of MAL is horrible, you can selectively pick and choose who to talk to by commenting on profiles or PMing. I've met plenty of perfectly fine people that way and never had a problem.
The forums are another story, absolutely awful. There's not much else out there.

I like all keions. I hated Azusa when she appeared, but you must admit that she grew as a character. I feel as though she was the perfect character to self-insert into.
