This tedious time-based confusion makes it inaccurate to simply delete every title although that would be easiest (as Mininova did back in 2006 because sorting and checking which were legit or not was too time-intensive so they just nuked it all).
How do we know we've recovered everything that was deleted? Are we just going by gallery title? Some titles don't put the magazine in their name and are never petitioned to be changed. There's also artists who have multiple publishers so it might appear that they have not been affected.
I'm just skeptical anyone has recovered 100% without actually having access to any official logs.

Telling Tenboro to publish his logs is counterproductive. Logs would only help WANI and METI and because they were posted by Tenboro, they are usable as direct evidence of non-compliance in court. Remember, a list of things you have done is also a list of things you have NOT done. There only needs to be one item in the "not done" status (reasonable doubt) to have a court case filed or to request a search and seizure warrant. I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand it may cause Japanese publishers/artists to start going crazy with DMCAs. A lot of people scare easily and we may lose a lot of translators who are too stupid to know how to hide their tracks online.

But let's say the EU didn't sign the Berne Convention, various trade treaties, is NOT a member of the World Trade Association, and doesn't support international law. Fat chance on any of those, but let's say that is the case AND Tenboro lives in an EU country that has no extradition with the USA. Tenboro would be convicted thru a bench ruling (because YOUR example required him to be a scofflaw). A bench warrant would be issued then. A bench judgment of statutory damages would be issued then. The plaintiff would then apply for a civil suit citing the criminal suit results in order to obtain a bigger penalty beyond the statutory damages (because no one likes a scofflaw). Again, you require Tenboro to ignore the court, so a bench ruling is issued in the civil matter.
