Wings have been purely cosmetic since Kubo decided to have everyone fly as they pleased. Which seems to come and go based on reishi concentration.
The wings would just be showing that he's using his Quincy powers and Yhwach shouldn't be able to steal Ichigo's abilities while he's using Hollow reiatsu.
