Huh, the second story in today's episode is chapter 268 from volume 27, one of the most recent chapters. Keep in mind that Renge's introduction was from volume 14, and basically everything else they've adapted so far is from before that. Guess they just wanted to do a current story for the heck of it.
The jokes are sort of boring and repetitive but the OPs and EDs are always incredible.
