Why dont we have more outlets for anime reviews and/or anal sis?
I mean there's Glass Reflection, Demolition D, that woman who talks about Digimon Tamers and a few review sites like Nihon Review and Them Anime.
And all those fucking terrible blogs and aspies sitting infront of their webcam telling me why I should watch Utena or Guilty Crown barely even count.
I'll guess we'll always have /a/ to chastise opinions, MAL have some good enough reviews I guess.
But is that really it? How else am I meant to form my own opinions if there isnt...

What is /a/'s generally reaction towards your waifu? Is she usually well-received or disapproved of?
I'd like to think my waifu is somewhat liked and even respected, with an occasional troll bait here or there. But even I find those to be pretty rare.

Overall very positive, I'd say.
Except that some people don't see her as anything beyond just some cutesy character - which leads to shitty posts about her. Which can be pretty annoying, considering how much she means to me.

People were mad when their fan theories didn't pan out, people were mad that it wasn't TTGL, people were mad about an unfitting finale, people were mad that the MC didn't have some obvious coming of age moment that magically fixed their character flaws (which I think is a shitty trope anyway), and that they persisted throughout the series.
Most importantly though: it was very popular so many people liked it, and that means the fanbase is automatically considered insufferable.
