How do you feel about the anime industry currently, /a/?
As long as stuff like Parasyte, Bahamut, and HxH keep airing once or twice a season I'm satisfied and don't care about the other 90% going to pandering waifufags (be it harem, romance, SoL, pedos, or whatever else).

I don't think it has anything with the industry be more with my tastes.
I grew up and I can't watch high shool anime without getting bored at the second episode.
Of course I still watch 2 shows per season but I can't have as much fun as when I was around 20.
I still read manga but that's about it.

Both are usually shown wearing the Flag as or part of some article of clothing.
Curiously enough, some HOAs disallow displays of the Flag. HOAs are shit to begin with, though. Some luxury SUV-driving housewife with no real job usually ends up running the show and ruining it all in the name of uniformity and compliance to her own ideals.

Arakawa was good overall, I just felt like it took a while to get into the swing of things and even then a lot of the gags were hit or miss.
Why was Utena the best anime ever?
It unquestionably has the best cast of characters in anime where everyone is relevant in providing a new facet to other characters as well as parallels to form more complex character relationships. It has the best use of symbology in anime, it is a perfect mixture of minimalism and maximalism, it is the most thematically rich anime out there, it has the best directing where so many shots can emphasize certain points, stir ambiguity and express unspoken thoughts and emotions like through body language, every episode is relevant gradually adding to the characterisation of the cast and providing allegories that all intertwine with the main theme of the series, it has an incredibly surreal atmosphere, it's theatrically aware and uses this to criticize the 'fake' nature of regular drama as well as mislead the viewers on multiple occasions and the series has the best ending ever.
