You know, I hadn't liked the main point the manga/anime tried to show off that once you get a boyfriend and get over your sexual frustration everything will just get magically resolved. BUT aside from that it was very fun story with quirky characters. Liked both Ishikawa's manga and Taniguchi's adaptation.

Ah, I get it, it's basically telling the story of how humans teamed up with wolves to become top-dog in the animal kingdom.
In this manga humans are already well-known as liars, so they're at least respected for their intelligence. Him joining a wolf pack and using his intelligence brings their strengths together and make them a formidable force to be reckoned with.What I don't get is how there are dog-people. Dogs exist entirely because humans domesticated wolves.

Narration has more purpose than just the words it communicates, it's supposed to give things a more objective sense of weight and drama. Sometimes there's redundant exposition as a result but they probably just want to fill in time to keep that feeling going, like there's enough gravity to the situation that a 3rd party is observing it.

The problem with adapting Berserk is it's so fucking hard to find a crew talented enough to keep up with Miura's detail.
Judging from what they've been doing lately, I'd vouch David as the only ones around right now who would be fit for the job.
