Inari Konkon and Spice&Wolf are the perfect examples of how to actually do a goddess romance plot, why can't other writers learn from them?

You'll love how the LNs ended.
I would love to see Season 2 be more about the older, more mature battleships like Yamato, Musashi, Yamato, and Mutsu. It also would be nice to make it a bit darker and more grim seeings how it IS about war. I really don't want the series to focus on the snotty nosed destroyers that look and act like middle schoolers.
I also think Kantai Collection in anime form has the possibility to make a really unique series that can integrate history and even humor in the war series. Sorta like, "why does she act like that?" "What did that mean?" Let's go look it up and learn some naval history. Then when the next episodes come on you have a better understanding of her personality and are able to connect to the characters in a more intimate way. It would make the series so much more enjoyable and engaging.
