I'm not a didnothingwrongfag, but Griffith is sympathetic because the behelit was clearly reacting to his anguish. His desire and desperation caused the Eclipse to happen.
Fault only really comes into question when he's given the choice of becoming one of them or not. Once that's done he's Femto, and we still don't know if Femto is really entirely Griffith.
So all in all, Griffith is responsible for exactly one thing during the entire Eclipse: not throwing himself off the tower once they explained what they were offering him.

I still enjoy it for what it's worth though.
The problem with SAO is that overpowered heroes like Kirito aren't supposed to have harems and "nakama" bullshit. They wander the world solving problems, like Vash, or they have to bail other people out, like Saitama, or they don't really want to help anyone, like Alucard. And most importantly, like Akagi, they don't pretend to be "the everyman"
Kirito is treated like a generic MC with a quest and a love interest and everything else, and the show keeps setting up problems and hurdles for them, but none of them are ever real problems or hurdles because everything in his universe bends over backwards for him. He acts like his life is so fucking hard but he cheats every damn time.

What are some shitty shows you've recently seen /a/?
I watched this one not too long ago with some friends because they thought I'd like it. I could not believe just how fucking terrible everything about this piece of shit was. From the garbage plot, one dimensional characters, ear splitting music, and horrendous art style, and to make matters worse I had to watch this slog of shit with that atrocious dub. The very thought of this fucking show just makes me want to kill myself and wouldn't even make my worst enemy watch it.
Grimgar was fucking terrible. Full length music videos in the fucking show. Who thought that was a good idea?
