It seems to me that too many popular manga and light novels drag on and on, overstaying their welcome, until the quality drops significantly and/or the fans' interest fades. The worst examples are harem romcoms like pic related where the inevitable heartbreak/victory is delayed indefinitely to blueball the fans. There isn't as big of an issue with well-crafted stories that were always intended to be long running (I Am a Hero, Vinland Saga, anything by Urasawa Naoki, etc) but those are the minority.
What are some LNs or manga that in your opinion had the sense to end properly without needlessly dragging things out for profit? For me Fullmetal Alchemist and Hellsing immediately come to mind, which are ironically two of the most entry-level titles out there.

This is one of the best lineups in Weekly Shonen Jump history.
Period.
Sure, Black Clover is beyond terrible, but My Hero Academia and Hinomaru Sumo are some of the best series period in their respective genres from the magazine.
Mononofu, Straighten Up! and Haikyuu are all damn good sports type manga.
Isobe and Saiki Kusuo are great gag manga.
Samon-kun is a pretty interesting romcom, and Ghost Tits isn't great but it has a pretty interesting MC which could help it down the road.
World Trigger isn't all that special, but it's a perfectly serviceable battle series that reads like a sports manga.
And in turn Shokugeki is a cooking sports series that reads like a battle manga.
And AssClass which just finished has left an imprint on Jump history as one of the most important series for the magazine, period.
We've had/are having some seriously big names end as well to make room for this new generation of big manga. Series like Naruto, Gintama, Toriko, Nisekoi, and eventually Bleach.
This is one of the best times in history to be a 10 year old in Japan.
Not to mention One Piece is arguably the best it has ever been right now ever since Dressrosa ended.
Hunter x Hunter is back and going brilliantly as well.
