The number of new series and premieres each season is in the double digits. There are certainly trends but the amount of variety available at any given time is pretty unprecedented. If you don't like cute girls shit, don't watch it. If you look at like 30 new shows in a season and see nothing there for you, maybe just give up on anime. Its ridiculous to suggest that pandering to your extremely specific and frankly shitty tastes would "fix" anything.
