First looked like something a duo could whip up in a month, second clip looked quite expensive though. What makes the second so expensive is the amount of people needed to complete it in a reasonable time frame.
Like say you hire a somewhat proficient ~10 man team for two months + rent and equipment, that's easily a 100K.

Yes, they absolutely could do it - by living in squalor in moms basement. But they wouldn't do it because they'd be too busy playing games and beating off to porn.
don't want to rag on something somebody spent a year of their life working on.. but is that second one supposed to be claymation looking? maybe I'm just spoiled by other smaller studios.

both are very ambitious and have a lot of different scenarios. With taxes and shit it may be ok to think each cost 100,000.

The first one is pretty shit and looks like a student project. Pretty terrible animation and not even trying to do lipsync
The second is ambitious but is better because the claymation style plays better with the shit animation but still way too ambitious, since every environment change increases the costs a ton
And neither alice looks anything like alice actually does in the games, at least not in the face area
Why do things that use cel shading always come with bad animation as well?
It's always got this horribly stiff look to it, as if they didn't give a shit, because lol cel shading.
