one more from furio
>>
>>497955
nah
this>>497928 >>497926 >>497915 >>497914
was marco plouffe
top is obviously sergio hualde and david letondor

i mean furio is okeish, but hes not even close to the same league as cedric or marco
you can really see how much he has to go in zsummit video to get anywhere close to the heavy hitters

also him calling herbert lowis one of the best in the industry made me roll my eyes, especially when this guy worked near people like raphael grasetti
>>
>>497957
Well i'm not into Zcuckery so much. Yeah they obviously have different styles under the futuristic-hard-surface category. But I'm not sure if you can use factor anything in to pick who's the best. Looks like both artists have the capacity to easily do each others work. Although this one : >>497928
seems more production-ready and doing it professionally instead of a hobby. Still it's not an indication in which is better.

what's wrong with grasetti

why all of them are italian

>sculpting
>anything else but zbrush

inb4 you use mudbox
>>
>>497974
>implying Zbrush is the only tool on earth for sculpting / implying all others are shit
>>
>>497975
But the others ARE shit. If you're not using Zbrush to sculpt you might as well not sculpt at all
>>
>>497975
>implying that isn't true
I fucking hate zBrush but it is objectively superior to every other sculpting software.
>>
I always get reminded that I'm in 4chan when people dislike ZBrush specifically because it's popular

I always get reminded that I'm in 4chan when people are busier talking about what software will get them "into the 3d industry" rather than just getting shit done, no matter how

I mainly use Maya and Blender and just started using Zbrush. How the fuck does the Zremesher manages to make such clean topology with just the click of a button? This shit blew my mind the first time I used it. Fuck I love it.
>>
Where are you getting these tips from? Is it a magazine or website? PLease tell me!!!!!
>>
>>498193
Go to sites like pinterest or similar. Its like tumblr you see something interesting on the internet and repost it except those sites are aimed more towards digital artists. These images come mostly from polycount, zbrush central, deviantart, etc
>>
A lot of people here think that the 2.5D mode in zbrush is useless. But it does have a purpose.
You can easily create tileable textures using your meshes with this mode.

>ZBRUSH 2.5D mode

ALL

OF

MY

FUCKING

HATE.

I can't fucking believe they're still forcing this absolutely useless and fuck annoying steaming crap pile of a "feature" onto people and even make it coming back in your face like it is the most important feature of this program.

WHO THE FUCK AT PIXOLOGIC THINKS ITS A GOOD IDEA.
>>
>>499193
the owner, and only the owner.
ive talked to people from pixologic
>>
>>499224
If you ever talk to them again tell them to fucking implement a single keystroke save function.
>>
>>499224
>>499193
Hey fucktards, how about you actually look at the video >>498274 posted and educate your shit-tier asses?
>>
>>499226
There are a million better ways of doing that with Quixel/Substance
>>
>>499227
Also with Photoshop even. Honestly, even though it's sculpting is shit tier compared to ZBrush, Mudbox makes this whole process (creating a tiling custom normal map) trivially simple.

Bottom line: use ZBrush for sculpting and polypain. Stay the fuck away from 2.5D.

Thank you for sharing, made this with it

/3/ needs a central repository fr infographics and tutorials like this. Maybe a /3/ imgur account or something.
>>
>>499326

Or, you know. A sticky, like we have.
>>
>>499299
how do you crease edges ?
>>
>>499329
B>Z>M to select your zModeler brush, then choose the Crease option when hovering over an edge. You can create an edgeloop.
There's also a Crease menu that can auto-crease based on polygroups, edge angle or other features. And also the Pinch brush, but it won't be as clean.
