I sometimes wonder why I quit using XP, if it was actually because I gave a fuck about the security issues associated with using it, or if it had more to do with peer pressure. It's a nice OS for low end machines, but it doesn't properly utilize the power of modern hardware. The 64-bit edition is laughable too since its application and driver support are extremely limited. I can't believe I used it as my primary OS for more than a year.

As long as you don't have more than 3GB RAM, there is really no difference. Just because something is 64 bit compiled does not mean that it always runs better.

The other day I actually loaded up a shitload of tabs in tumblr and ended up going over 4GB on my Cyberfox process. This isn't a typical usage case, as I was trying to load up and grab a bunch of images all at once, but it's still pretty crazy. Yeah yeah, I know, 4chan hates tumblr. Sue me.
