It's a satire. During the 90s there was this huge push for amateur journalism, leading to insanely stupid shit like this.

Damn you tell us what this is from.
>>947758
>its an action flick, not some Freaky Friday knock off if thats what youre looking for
There are not really many action scenes to speak of.. it's actually more like some kind of a whodunit mashup of Groundhog Day and Vanilla Sky.
>>946883
the televangelist in this scene is Ken Foree, the same actor who played Peter in the original Dawn of the Dead (he also played Kenan's dad in Kenan & Kel).
Dawn of the Dead 2004 is actually my all-time favorite zombie movie, and my favorite Zack Snyder movie by a longshot

Some people complained she looked too old in that movie to be playing a teenager (and to be dating a very young looking teenager). She was actually 20 years old during filming in 1983. It looks fine to me; she just doesn't have a babyface.
Here she is in Link (1986), a (kinda shitty) horror movie about a chimpanzee that she filmed 2 years after Karate Kid. The full movie is on youtube:

I'm not that guy, but he's completely correct. Enunciating? Yes. Speaking clearly? No. The volume varies dramatically between each word, so that about a quarter of the lines are drowned out by the background music.
>>950603
>>950823
Fine, here's your subtitled version. I was unhappy with the original webm anyway because his voice was delayed by like 0.2 seconds (since the televangelist is not on-screen when he says the first word, "Hell," in the actual movie; instead it's someone from the last scene).
The only words that are hard to understand at all are, "How do you think your god will judge you?" and maybe "Well friends, now we know." And that's only because he says that part really softly. The rest is perfectly clear, even on my mono phone speaker. To say "the volume varies dramatically between each word" is an exaggeration that is blatantly false and it pisses me off that you would even spout such bullshit.

no prob, bob. there might even be another version out there that doesn't have those obnoxious yellow Polish subtitles. I don't remember seeing them the last time I saw the full version of Link on YT, meaning I was looking at a different video.
The part from the webm is at 50:33 by the way, if you wanna see the controversial woman x chimp love scene immediately after

G.I Joe: Dickless
Somebody posted this webm a long time ago, but I didn't save it at the time, and I was just watching Possession today, and I was like, THAT'S IT, THAT'S THE SCENE, so I webmified it again, and now I'm posting it instead of requesting it like a faggot. Enjoy.
And no, the crazy guy is not Anthony Hopkins, but the young guy is indeed Sam Neill.
I love tuco
>>959715

>>959764
HAAAAM FIIIIIIIIIIGHT
>>959744
Actually I lied. I want to make a couple more webms from Possession, because holy shit this movie.
>>959812
Or, you know, I would, but my computer takes like a million fucking years just to chug out one fucking webm.
>>959812
it's a pretty good flick
>>959853
The scene I wanted to webmify (the freakout scene in the subway tunnel) is too long for me to be able to make with a good bitrate, and I don't want to split it into two scenes, so I'll just do that scene instead.
I seriously spent the last hour trying to make a single webm. I even tried playing around with "-threads", but that only seemed to make things worse. How the fuck do I make a webm in a timely fashion?
I been making a webm for the last fifteen minutes and it's only just finished the first pass. Jesus mother of fuck there has got to be a faster way of doing this.
>>959867
>what's your CPU?
I-3. Bad?
>Also 2-pass encoding is unnecessary.
That's a relief. This will be the last two pass webm I ever make then, I guess.
>>959856
what timecode was it and ill try it
>>959881
>why the fuck are you not using webm for retards
Why the fuck would I?
>2 pass and variable bitrate always.
What's it like being a monstrous cuntbag?
>>959883
Eh, don't bother. It's like a three minute scene. You could make it, I'm sure, but you'd have to either use a bitrate in the low 100s or else split it into two parts, and it really needs to be watched in full definition and all together.
>>959890
>Why the fuck would I?
because you asked
>How the fuck do I make a webm in a timely fashion?
>What's it like being a monstrous cuntbag?
>helping people make better webms is being a monstrous cuntbag
ok
>three minute scene
yeah that's not gonna work with 4MB limit. What scene was it anyway? I'm curious
>>959908
Fine, I'm sorry for calling you a cuntbag. I was just pissed off because of the encoding times. I'm not going to use WFR though, because I'm on Linux, and it's a Linux sin not to use the command line when you have the option to do so.
Anyway, I suspect that my uncharacteristicly long encoding times may be because I'm not deleting the ffmpeg log file after each webm, because every time I make a new webm from the same movie it seems to take a longer and longer time, but then when I switch to a different movie it takes a much shorter time. Next time I'll try deleting that file after each one, and see if it makes a difference.
>What scene was it anyway? I'm curious
Like I said, Anna walks down a subway tunnel and has some kind of psychotic freakout. It ends with her spewing liquids from every orifice and straining like she's giving birth.
>>959873
i3 can be bad if it's really old and budget. But newer i3's (from like 2011 on) should be able to do the job fine.
>>959881
2-pass encoding isn't really necessary. I have encoded hundreds of webms using both techniques and, for the most part, I can't tell much of a difference in quality. It actually seems like one-pass CBR tends to show its low-bitrate-blurring (not sure what the term is) mostly just when changing to new iframes/different angles. 2-pass VBR, however, seems to have lesser blur-effects happening constantly and for no real reason. Look at the wallpaper at the end of the webm in >>959873 's post and how it keeps blurring & refocusing every 0.5 seconds even though the image isn't changing.
there are advantages and disadvantages to both:
http://www.webmproject.org/docs/encoder-parameters/#3-rate-control
>>959944
>But newer i3's (from like 2011 on) should be able to do the job fine.
Mine's newer, yeah. I got the machine in 2013.
What do you think of my theory that it's the log file? Do your webms start taking longer and longer to make if you make multiple ones from video files in the same folder, without deleting the log file between each one? (I won't be making any webms today – too much homework to do – so I won't be able to test this theory out.)
>>960117
Actually, there is just one webm I want to make before I head off to school, just to round off my collection of hammy Neil/Heinz dialogue scenes. (I'll even use two pass encoding, just to be consistent with the previous ones.)
Have any of you guys seen Repulsion, the film Possession is inspired by / paying homage to? It's really, really good, though slightly slower paced and with slightly less blood and murder. I can't think of any particularly webmifiable scenes from it, other than maybe a couple two or three second shots that I really loved, but it's definitely a classic.
>>951753
Why would you use a terrible screener/cam copy to make a webm of a scene that's in the HD trailers?

variable bitrate

>implying anyone but massive autists would ever attempt variable bitrate on anything but the shortest of clips
Bro, ain't nobody got time for that shit. Resizing and extrapolating and shit. Fuck that.
>>960995
Whatever, it's better and works really well on webms with lots of movement. If there isn't much movement then it doesn't matter as much and you can use the time saved to make more shitty webms

i never noticed the good job done by the translator on this movie: check at 52sec on the webm, they labelled the switchs on the french nuke box. they say "verouillage" wich is ok, "avorter" wich means abort like in abort a pregnancy, "prêt" meaning ready and my favorite of all "bras" which means "an arm" as in a part of the body, i guess they wanted to translate "arm" as in arm a weapon.
