For all you hunters with slippery slide pads.
Buy some Cyber Gadget Slide Pad Covers and thank me later
Fit well on the CPP XL too
>After 3 days, hunter still stuck at HR1, still with Petrified Sword Lv2
Wow I literally forgot how to play this fucking game
Who wanted this shitty flat grey/brown mess back?
Those from tri are way superior.
I'm sick of seeing these maps at this point.
Anyone up for unlocked HR turn?
I sure hope it will be a different crowd today
Any SnS's that are currently standing out above the rest? Is raw still a good go-to?
I thought about going with a para IG so I can para and mount the monster every hunt when I play with my friend.
Does para on IG work good?
Is anyone willing to host HR1 keys, or will I have to venture into pub-land?
Guys why does Yukumo Chief talk like she does? Is there some context I'm missing or something?
The way she talks comes off as astoundingly arrogant and it's obnoxious. Is that intentional or is it something else
Maybe I'm just too used to Rajang in 4U, and the fact I fought Blangonga in
MHObut the only thing I thought fighting him in Generations was that they finally made his lunge an actual attack and not an animation that just doesn't matter.
I do admit to having missed Blangonga, and would have preferred he be in 4U over Congalala, but still he's a tad dull. At best, he's an upgrade over his Freedom Unite self where he previously had a useless attack, but I don't personally see the difficulty in the fight
>2 Khezu key quest
>Both in same zone
>they both just sit there screaming 3, 4, 5 times in arow
>dungbomb the other since first wont leave
>now they're both sitting on opposite sides of the room alternating between shitting themselves with lightning and vomiting lightning across the room
>10 minutes have passed and they are still doing it
>One of them finally leaves and goes to a cave zone
>proceeds to scream 3 times in a row, then do 6 lightning tackles in a row and kill me because I can't stand up faster than him being able to hit me again, and the one time I was finally able to do so he shit himself with lightning and hit me
So this....is the power of a gen 1 monster.....
Fucking literally why was this sack of shit put back in the game. Normally I don't have a problem with them but this is fucking ridiculous.
I'm new to monster hunter and very confused in MHX. I'm mostly just using the Maccau set with Sword and Shield Stamina Oil, and the bone tabir. Does Stam Drain stack with this effectively? I seem to see monsters exhausted / drooling constantly.
I just opened up 3* quests and have no idea what's good or what I should be building towards with anything. Any direction, cool builds or stuff that's actually attainable at this point of the game?
Pass is in the OP
Hey guys, I'm trying to convert my MHX save to Generations. When I try to drop the extracted system data onto CGen, I get a 0xc000007b error message.
Anyone have a solution for me? I'm on Windows 7.
Oh geez I'm sorry I didn't realize this thread was only for people with the level of expertise and experience you deem sufficient, where everyone already knows everything about the game, let me just show myself out.
Huge misunderstanding. Terribly sorry.

What did he meant by this?
Take the training quests to see which weapon suits you the most. Most armors have certain skill points to them which activates at a certain threshold, you can check them at kiranico.
Also watch video guides if you're that desperate.
I'm using this too.
The cross patterned one is the dope.
Best thing happening to my n3ds after the PSP stick mod.
Yo guys, I've been thinking of buying MH3U for the 3ds just for the solo experience. I didn't buy it before because I didn't have a Wii U and it didn't have online.
Is it worth it just for the solo?
I've gotten that far. It's hard to tell what all I can build / upgrade / what specific weapons in a category are good or worth building though, all the information is really difficult to parse.
Half the items and sets seem to need other materials I can't get yet or awkward to find, so I'm just sorta sitting still and not wanting to invest a buncha resource gathering time and materials into experimenting really.
You rip out the rubber clit and replace it with a psp cap for best mini stick controls.
>Do wyvern egg quest
>Murder the fuck out of it
>"It's an astalos anon! These guys are meaner than rathalos!"
>Kill a bulldrome anon!
>Go out on the hunt
>Not this shit again.
>Rip it's dick off and force feed it its own teeth.
>"It's a Mizutsune anon! They're mystical and quite fierce!"
CAN I JUST A GET A REGULAR QUEST THAT DOESNT INVOLVE "YOU HAVE BEEN INVADED BY DICKASS MONSTER" PLEASE.
Sure does, no more clawing into the rubber to finally get it into the direction you want it to.
Also the n3ds still closes.
It's an "almost" perfect fit. Like it will clip to the joystick all tight and shut wont come off unless you clip it off.
the joystick itself is still the weird "lean into direction" movement, but now you get perfect accuracy and grip over how it moves. Wouldn't want to live without it.
the cap costs a few cents, and the mod is done in a few minutes and quite reversible if you are unhappy. You should read it up, cannot recommend it more to MH.
Does anyone else not like this new upgrade system? I'm already in village 5 star and I'm still using the petrified weapon you literally start the game with. Sure it's level 4 now, but there is nothing better that I can make, and the other weapon I CAN make I can't upgrade because the first upgrade to level 2 takes materials only found in high rank zones.
I miss variety. Do I really have to upgrade shit to like level 2 and then side-grade it? I thought we could still make any weapon from base like before. Or if not any weapon at least a good amount.
>need 1 rathalos tail
>all I have are bowguns
It seemed to me that every weapon tree in village ended in ~100 raw and green sharpness. You couldn't begin to make anything deviating from that until you started killing the new monsters
Ehhh... it seems to have a major boner for Gen 1 and 2, but they picked a lot of shit monsters (Gia/Gen/Velocidrome, Khezu, Cephadrome etc.)
I've found most of the new things positive and it seems they put a lot of work into giving us as many things to kill as possible. You'd have to look up the numbers yourself, though.
>tfw my friend plays aerial SnS and doesnt care about whether or not it is viable
>He doesnt use oils at all either to save money
>Doesnt bring flash, traps, etc
Will he be a liability in high or >G rank or should I let it pass since we play in groups of 3-4?
>I thought we could still make any weapon from base like before
This has never been the case. There have always been weapons inaccessible through direct crafting.
The only difference is now instead of going
With every deviation being a straight upgrade and you only being able to deviate from the path at specific levels.
>Bone Masher lvl1
>Bone Masher lvl2
>Bone Masher lvl3
With everything generally being sidegrades.
It also means that you can use whatever weapon you like at the late/end-game because they all end up with like 200 true power minimum when maxed out.
>It also means that you can use whatever weapon you like at the late/end-game because they all end up with like 200 true power minimum when maxed out.
except the joke weapons
fuckin capcom, I wanna play my fuckin pizza chargeblade
Right, but I could craft a fucking base Rathian weapon in the previous games.
In this one I cannot make a rathian weapon at all. I can only make it by first making a petrified, upgrading it to level 2, then side grading that to like maccao, and then I have to upgrade that t o 2, then I can FINALLY side grade to a fucking rathian weapon.
Which is literally impossible mind you because maccaos have like 5 hp; and their heads never break.
I'm really not a fan of this system because of this. I understand that sometimes you need a certain base material to unlock shit, IE you need like a rathian spike to make the faulds show up in the smithy or whatever, but I've killed 3 Rathians and there is still no BASE rathian weapon.
Cannot tell you much about that, I've only been using it since 6 months. But so far no issues at all.
Apparently, the Yukumo hunter is kindly loaning his house to you. Makes it awkward because I'm the Yukumo hunter.
Basically I'm letting myself stay in my own house.
Not really related, but my circle pad cover fell off. Do I super glue it back or something?
I would argue the hard part is putting these on without having small amount of air below them.
I personally drilled a 1mm hole in the middle of it so that's not an issue anymore, still sit perfectly tight and the wobble issue is gone
But that's wrong. It differs, yes, but certain Rathian weapons can be crafted from scratch, others cannot be. The Rathian Switch Axe and Gunlance can both be crafted from scratch, as an example. The Lagiacrus Switch Axe can be crafted from scratch, while the Lagiacrus Dual Blades are behind Ludroth and two Mizu claws (and they aren't even fucking worth crafting because Astalos, Thunderlord Zinogre and Rajang duals are all better options)
Similarly, the Rathalos Gunlance can be crafted from scratch, while the base for the Wyvern Conciliation duals (Twin Flames) sits behind Dual Hatchets level 2. This isn't even new to Generations, it's just more obvious because you have them listed now, once you reach the level where the branch unlocks
which cover are you using?
I think the cap/3ds model you use does make a difference. On my o3dsxl I have to glue it. On the n3ds not-xl it fit perfectly tight by default, never came off so far since months.
Did they reduce Khezu's head hitbox or something?
In MH4U and other previous games it was super fucking easy to just knock away on his head, but in MHG i often hit his "neck" instead.
Like, there's so many hits that i thought would hit his head but they just didn't.
I can make a rathian CB from scratch
The system is the same, it just looks differently
I have about 4 sites of craftable weapons for most categories, which doesn't feel much less then in other games
>I cannot make a Rathian weapon at all
Because you don't have the mats or something.
I'm looking at my Smithy now and I can craft
Don't mind me, just the best GS passing through
xth for village quests giving sweet fuck all in the reward screens
He's only looking at one weapon. It's not a material thing, Dual Blades can't have the rath weapons crafted from scratch. Twin Flames starts after Dual Hatchets level 2.
As an example of another pair of fire dual blades locked behind previous crafts, Agnaktor's duals cannot be crafted from scratch and must come from Dual Piercers level 4
So the pad bit just fully came off my 3ds analog stick, it's now just a black plastic stick. Is there anything I can do that doesn't involve taking the system apart? Will superglue work/
I am at 5* Village now and i'm looking to craft a LBG and/or HBG
Is Tankmage a good choice for HBG? It can shoot Normal 2, All Pellet and crouch fire Pellet S 2 and Poison S 1.
Don't know how strong Pellet is compared to Normal 2 in MHX though.
As for LBGs i was looking at crafting Valkyrie Fire. It can Rapid Fire Pellet 1 and 2, but with Average wait.
I know LBGs are for elemental gunning but there's not really any decent choices until High Rank for that.
How the heck do i switch the touchscreen shortcuts to different items?
I feel like I'm missing something obvious
Bite Blaster is the business for Normal Fire
BoneOstalgoaTranslation is a better pierce rifle for 3 upgrades, or so I hear.
The real question is what the fuck do you make for fucking LBG's, because I keep hearing about guns with 100 innate ammo, and I haven't seen shit.
Plus the innates aren't rapid fire. fuck that
>Maccao is godly, but pretty meh until level 3
@6 Star Village offline, and have
>Royal Launcher (Ludroth)
>Tail Stripe (Blagonga)
>Rathling Gun (Rathalos, always make it at least once per game period.)
As my elemental coverage.
How exactly is Maccao godly, pray tell?
>Snap that shit up
>Realize in horror that this is in fact, Monster Hunter Generations
>AKA: No fucking money allowed because they removed all the siege fights and massive easymode paydays, and armor/weapon upgrades eat the wallet
MONEY CHEAT PLEASE
Oh yeah, I forgot the Khezu line, the best thunder line.
Maccao RFs Pierce 1, has a good clip of everything, has "some" recoil, can shoot fire (most common weakness) and shoots the broken-strong Sting S (non-Ichinose Weakness Exploit shot with a Pierce crit distance)
Maccoa's has been pretty good for me so far, rapid firing pierce 1 is ripping through village low rank(though everything dies I suppose). Helps that it looks cool as fuck. What does it get at lvl 3? And wtf does its internal shot even do?
Thanks senpai. I understand Kiranico had to shit out the new one fast but I really dislike the new layout. Now that I went back to the page and actually searched for "low" I see they are listed there just hard as fuck to see.
So is the Meowstress part of an actual felyne/human race or just cosplaying?
Never really cared much about the races of MH
>Khezu line, the best thunder line.
SO I'M ABOUT TO RIP THIS ZINOGRE'S SHIT, AND I DON'T HAVE TO?
>Sting S Weakness Exploit shot with Pierce crit distance
Que? You're saying it's a long distance shot that hits weak points really hard?
Lastly, I don't have shit for armor. Should I just use this AuL loadout I have with it?
Make Rathalos, AuM and Weakness Exploit (the ichinose one, 45% hitzone =+50% crit)
You can swap the hat for the Blademaster Hat if you have an attack charm or a slotted charm (You'll get defense down but end up with more defense anyway)
>Delivering an Eternal Fossil as prowler.
>Near the last zone to the base.
>One of my own fucking palicos bombs me.
>snek's face when aerial switch axe
I'm sorry najarala you deserve better
>Don't talk to me or my son ever again.
Anyway, is there a MH4U database type of app of MHGen. Kiranico's seems to in the middle of work.
~10 different bowguns made and some upgrades 6 Armorsets for varying degrees of elemental attack+2 Buying ammo, since elemental ammo doesn't kill shit and I burn through 60 a fight.
Holy dicks that seems fucking useful. I guess I'll shoot Rathalos in the wings with the Khezu syringe some more.
Weeell you have to know the monster's hitzones, many monsters fuck gunners because their max hitzone is 40.
Keep your AuL set saved, at least replace some Jaggi/Bulldrome parts with Butterfly/Rathalos parts.
Come on, Gore. Not you, too.
No one cares unless you triple cart, or you talk down to someone else and then proceed to play like shit. If you don't achieve either of these, no one's gonna mind
Anyone found a decent looking set for LR GS? Getting sick of looking at bulljag shit, and the only thing I found with charmless crit draw + focus rivals it in ugliness.
Also, is there any way to set the dex armor finder to LR only for MHGen?
Ive played gunner weapons since 3rd gen started but im sick of worrying about all these silly zone wide one shot attacks (though im sure its not much better with blademaster). Whats a good melee weapon that is either support oriented or at least able to stick to enemies flopping all over the place? Was thinking lance, honking horn, or charge blade. My friends I play with main GS, SnS, and Switchaxe if that matters.
it's a pierce 2 gun that doesn't need recoil down plus has good reload and the internal shots are good against water weak monsters (to be fair that's pretty much only glavenius)
it's a nice all around gun but if you're looking for crouch fire then yea look elsewhere
the reload speed on mizu beats out osteo
white narga is apparently stronger than both but doesn't hold as many total shots so mizu beats it on longer fights so take your pick i guess
Anyone else really like the hbgs that look like sniper rifles, like rathian's?. Wish nerscylla was in this game, her gun was slick as hell, and high affinity pellet siege mode was fun as fuck
I'm sure no one does, but would anyone like to farm lvl 2 Stonefist with me?
Any notable armors I should look for at early HR? Would be sweet to finally get EE to test that out with Adept
Assuming there is not since ios search doesn't give suggestion and outright tells that it doesn't exit. Guess I have to relay for MHX wiki for awhile.
I feel like im playing LBG wrong. I like using the Eldras gun that rapid fires crag. Im guessing this is weaker than a gun that rapid shoots Normal/Pierce/Element right? I just like staggering/knockout and breaking parts. should I go about crafting one for each element or just switch to HBG to have like 2-3 'go to' weapons?
>the reload speed on mizu beats out osteo
Mizu's reload speed is an eternity. How the fuck is that? I feel like I need a reload speed + 5 3 slot charm just to use that thing reliably. I don't even know if I'm doing reasonable amounts of damage when I'm playing in a group, and solo I just exploit elements.
Funny enough I have and was using that prior to the Eldras. Something about Pierce 1 was effective. But isnt Pierce 2 better or is it in that weird situation where like Normal S2 is better than S3? What should I be using for small monsters?
Its a shame cause I like my explosives..
>Thought people were just memeing about "OH I BEAT ALATREON WITH THE MACCAO HBG BUT IT TOOK ME 40 MINUTES BUT STILL SOLOOOO"
>Use that weapon whenever I have a problem
>Dump on it wholeheartedly, may or may not get breaks
The one time it didn't work was on fucking Gammoth. HP sponge FUCK YOU HP SPONGE MONSTERS
Should I be looking for Pierce up on that thing?
>tfw soloing all these "multiplayer collect-a-thon" quests in the Hub
I swear if its not hunting a stupid monster, no one wants to do it.
