IMO, retarded high scorelines are just a part of PES16, and if you try to get rid of those, you make the games that didn't have those high scorelines very slurpy. You can't balance a game around its outliers.

The PROBLEM is poor defensive AI competency. The problem is SOLVED by enhancing defensive AI competency. Most likely summer will play out like spring. Since the issues seem to be hardcoded, we can only hope 17 has changes there or that we find a way to change that up. By messing with the Json files we will probably just get a mess like PESJP. There is a lack of understanding why PES is programmed that way.
We shit on defenders and keepers when they play not a great role keeper.
Strikers should shoot less accurate when bullied by defenders the 'forcing weak shots' thing. Currently it's random with vanilla having them shoot good 90% the time and they rarely mess up skillrolls and shoot wide. Harlock seems to force much more often bad shots. Both are independant on defenders.
Keepers should be able to save weak shots reliably and struggle with shots from great setups, due to how strikers work this isn't the case. Keeper performances depend highly on strikers, as in wether or not they shoot where its easy for the keeper to save (like down the middle is an easy safe).
We could mess with some json files and see if we can increase how much defender interfernce nerfs shots. But that is all symptom treatment, we still have the issue that teams play better or worse at random.
