The entire purpose of the codex is for information about the systems of the game. Once you do a quest, there's literally no point in going to that page again. Monster hunter is terrible, at least in Warframe the maps/enemies are randomized so that you aren't playing the same exact mission repeatedly for drops.
I gave up on monster hunter as soon as it shifted platforms, there's no reason to buy an entirely new system for what is effectively an update of the same game. I'd rather play it online and have patches with new content.
