You can, just make sure they're both on the highest firmware of course. Just remember that any illegitimate stuff won't be transferred(Though if I remember right the files themselves get moved, you just have to reinstall a single .cia again and it should bring them back? I can't remember how it works completely.)
Make sure you bakup any illegitimate save files before you do it though, and I'd do a NAND backup of both as well if I were you, though on the old machine you can't touch online again if you restore that NAND backup since you'll have two different systems with the same data.

I did some reading up on it and it's mostly safe as long as you don't get early versions, and the latest version was only giving a bug to some guy who moved a Pokemon and it turned the thing's sprite into a Shiny Snivy when it was in the box but in-game it was normal. The GB one is kind of buggy though, I remember people getting Pokemon with ?????????? transferred into the box and then when they took them out it was crashing their game.

The current exploit requires going to the web browser to be able to play games, can only save games to the SD card, does not allow for online play, etc.
An IOSU exploit would allow total control over the system, like playing online, installing games directly to the home screen, or not having to fear Nintendo patching the hax, like on the 3DS with A9LH.

Well the order doesn't really matter, but yeah, go to system settings while in emunand, it should say emu 10.5 whatever, then go to other, system update and let it go. make sure tubehax isn't active so it can connect to the nintendo servers

the hblauncher loader is just a cia that makes an icon on your homemenu that loads you directly into homebrew, since you don't have a boot manager anymore. It reads the file I gave you to put on root which will redirect it to brew.3dsx

Hey guys, I just modded my PS2 Fat (by which I mean, the original, non-slim model) today using the HDD method.
I can run PS2 backups totally fine through digital copies, but I realized that PS1 must be done via emulation.
After some digging, I noticed I could make (or buy for $6) a swap magic "magic slide tool", but what I'm not sure of whether or not I can use this and my access to run .elf homebrew to put in a PS1 disk, run uLauncher or Free McBoot, use the slide tool to swap the legit PS1 disc with a burned PS1 game, and get it to run.
Can someone confirm or deny that the card swap method will work in my situation? I'm hoping to get PS1 backups running on this fat PS2 without resorting to modchips (which I hear are even more difficult than 3DS hardmods), upgrading to a slim PS2, or replacing the entire shell so it can open the disk tray from the top of the console like the slim.

Shit, right after sending that I forgot to mention: I have some legit PS1 games and a Gameshark Lite (PSX, NTSC-U). I also forgot to mention that my PS2 Fat is also NTSC-U, and was purchased on/around the very first PS2 model launch day.

So I'm using al9h, happy as a clam, until I realized I forgot to update my r4 before updating to 11.0
Now my R4i 3D ain't working no more. Stuck on the loading screen. I already did the whole "run it on a DS to update it" thing once, but now I have nothing to re-update it. Do I still need a DS or just a minor patch application? And more importantly, does anyone with an R4i 3D know if it works with 11.0 at all?

you already have a9lh, right? installing luma is piss easy, and i believe it whitelists NDS flashcarts automatically (assuming they ever worked on the 3ds at any point of its lifetime)

then what you should do is install ds_whitelist.cia to whichever nand you are primarily using (if emunand, i think it must be installed on sysnand too? unsure, but i know it must be done for gba)

if you're installing via an older version of FBI, make sure your destination is set to "NAND". (newer FBI, devmenu/bbm do this automatically)

see if you can make luma your default a9lh.bin, then attempt to update to 11.0 with recovery mode
if that works, you should be able to get sysnand back on a fresh 11.0, and a9lh will still be installed

hm i should probably say just in case: make sure you're using the latest version of luma, or you might fuck yourself because luma recently added actual support for recovery mode (if not, it probably would either brick you or block you from accessing it anyway)

- if you right-click>properties on each of your nand dumps, can you tell me their filesize, in bytes? are they all the same?
- if you rename your /Nintendo 3DS/ folder and attempt to boot luma, does it fix the blackscreen issue? (Really dumb theory, but you might still have menuhax installed. easy to fix if this is the issue)
