new raid is good if you're looking for some form of content. LS3 has mini pre-events going on right now that tie into the raid but as of right now, it hasn't fully started yet but is expected to soon(tm). they said after they release wing 3 but knowing anet, who knows if that's true.

Game is fine, it had a decent population surge with the last major patch a month or two ago which fixed a lot of grind/reward issues in HoT. WvW is active thanks to server linking, PvE sees activity in raids/fractals/dungeons, sPvP has its season ongoing.

if you're a solo player and you don't really do group content, you're going to already just have a hard time with raids. that's just how that is. but this is like reddit tier attitude that if you're new/returning you can't do raids because apparently nobody is taking the time to help you. no one is going to spoonfeed you with that, there are tons of guilds and groups that teach as well as other new people who want to learn.
