Unless you charged him into 2+ pods you better smoke rest of your team, ayys usually will target your other soldiers since they'll have bigger chaces to hit them than smoked tank.

And you don't want to make your bait/life saver useless while possibly sacraficing other squad mates.

Concealment means ultimate battefield intelligence. Its not a gimmick, specially for UFO missions. Its let's your Sniper and rocketeer get set up properly with steady aim, set up overwatch traps, not activate multiple pods. You can prepare for any situation. Cower and pray the rest of the squad are good shots with the remaining ammo left.

The problem is in the Defend the Haven mode you cant evac for 12 turns while waves of enemies are incoming. Every shot counts. Have to have real good fire discipline and not take low percentage shots. I had 3 members go winchester on me that mission - made it rough to survive. I lost the 4 scripted rookies that reinforce during the fighting.

There is no LW for 2 yet, no one has done enough of an overhaul type mod. That wont come for some time if ever. It's a weakness of the modding scene that everyone wants to be modular. It makes balancing difficult as its left up to the user to juggle.

Every time they update the mod with a new plot it's always a catastrophe. There's almost always holes in the map, cover not working or in their newest plot, which they removed, pods weren't showing up. And it always takes them 2-3 updates of the map to fix it.

It's obvious they have no idea what they're doing and should probably stop while they're ahead

Assuming you're on Normal, make sure you hunker down in half cover if your odds of hitting an Ayy are low.

Fuck Thin Mints, kill them with explosives or good aim.

You'll eventually have to go CLOSE RANGE? to capture an Ayy, so make sure you're well equipped to execute it if the attempt fails.

Make sure you spam satellites. To build satellites you need satellite uplinks. To build satellite uplinks you need engineers. Launch your sats at the end of the month to save full panic nations.

Snipers are extemely strong once they get squadsight, you just have to baby them till then. Explosives never miss. If you ever feel like your in a pickle (read, someone might die) don't hesitate to use your nades/rockets.

What's the point in having all these customization options for my soldiers? Jane Kelly is going to get critted in full cover by a flashbanged stun lancer anyway (after already getting critted in full cover by a codex earlier)

I don't remember the last game being so random and frustrating.

Yeah you would get randomly killed in the OG, but in the OG you also had 12 or more soldiers instead of a pathetic 4 or 5.

Anyway, wash the wound and get a cloth to stem the bleeding. If it's something worthy of stitches, call 911 or whatever emergency number your country utilizes.

Otherwise wait until the bleeding stops, then if you have neosporin or some antiseptic put it on the wound. I hope those scissors aren't rusty.

I mean I could and I have, I just don't think og x-com screenshots are very interesting. Its hard to see what's going on and they usually don't tell a story.

Also because of how I play the entire map is usually covered in smoke 24/7 which only make s it harder to see what's happening. Also not every pretty. But if there's anything your particularity interested in I would be happy to.

Oh yea I followed some of those, they were pretty comfy. The only thing is that what he did actually takes alot of effort. Playing the game and the taking the time to screenshot and then recap isn't easy. Alot of missions are pretty business as usual as well.
I won't promise anything, but if things are slow and I have a missions coming up that I think is interesting I'll consider posting them.

As for this particular picture, its actually a faction known as the Mercenaries. They employ the same synthetic fiber weave whatever nonsense orginal xcom mutons used for their armor. Its lightweight and has excellent resistance to piercing/ballistic weapons (.6 damage multiplier). They are extremely tough and have good melee skills as well, so sometimes they have daggers, axes, or mono-claws paired with pistols.

My first run in with them almost ended with the entire squad being killed, only 3 soldier survived. This time I brought energy weapons and was able to take them down relatively cleanly. I still don't mess with them too much because they usually have plasma weapons on top of their very good aim, reactions, and health.

Yep, Mutant Progroms. The Culling of the mutant population by different hostile factions.

PirateZ takes place in a universe where x-com failed, which if you've seen the defeat screen, most of the entire worlds populations are turned into mutants. "Pure" blood humans are now a minority. The earth is ruled by the ethereals through proxy by several major factions. Your just some rogue factions off to ruin the major factions days with your freedom, looting, and killing. Since your mutant pirates, your in an alliance with the Free Mutants, and purely buisness alliance with smuggles, and are paid protetction money by the local governments to not raid their stuff (which you still can if you want to).

I know if I try to hack that fuckin mec and fail both those packs will scatter. I don't think hacking the turrets to open makes sense either.

Should I just open with the Grenadier instead? I feel like I want to get red fog on as many of them as possible for the upcoming gunfight. I am scared my damn hacker will fail like he always does - no skulljack yet its beginning month 3

I can try and hack a turret when they scatter I guess.

generally opening with grenade is not a bad idea. Opening with a hack seems a bit odd since even after that pod scatters, it won't change your hack chances, and may even make you decide to take a different course of action once you see where they go. I don't really know your squad composition though,so its hard to give advice.

Um I use Quick soldier info, Lifetime stats, and additional Icons.

I ini tweaked the additional Icons a bit to just show me the enemies names no stats. I play without showing enemy HP or additional info on them.
