Seriously though, even given the rough framework Season 1 sets for us (and disregarding that it'd be possible to work around that too), a Rachel prequel could work in various ways. And it'd allow to really dive into the supernatural side of the story, plus it's a chance to learn more about Frank, Nathan and Jefferson.

It could work if they used the actual name "What if?" or "Life is Strange: What If?" where it's told from the dream perspective of Chloe. It jumps around in some parts but the main focus of it is what if Rachel was still alive, Jefferson and Nathan got busted, and what if Chloe called Max to reunite sooner. You swap perspective between Chloe and Rachel so you do get to choose how to go about different issues.
In the end, Chloe wakes up and it's morning of the day she's going to meet Nathan in the bathroom.

There's nothing bad about the end of the game. The storm doesn't come, the bad guys get captured, Max wins the Everyday Heroes Contest (And earns significant praise and attention, and Max and Chloe go on to live long, happy, loving, and productive lives together.

Is there a cuter character than Max?
Looking back at episode 4, and the confrontation with Frank, I'm wondering whether the stupidity displayed by Max and Chloe if Frank gets killed is just based on stupidity of the game devs (they didn't realise the obvious alternative), or an intentional choice by them to go for emotion over logic.
I'm sure we all know what I'm talking about, but just in case:
>If Frank gets pissed, Chloe goes over 9000 to protect Max

>If Frank dies, Chloe quickly grabs the item they wanted to get from Frank and rushes back to her truck.

I've given them the benefit of the doubt in the past, assuming the devs were too stupid to apply their rules consistently. But since they have Chloe grab Frank's book and quickly rush off to remove the possiblility of Max using her power for an instant win, it makes me feel the devs knew that what they were up to made no sense, but stubbornly ploughed onward anyway. Gotta have those tears after all.

There's no excuse to leave Frank dead. I killed him the first time and then immediately rewound. The best result I got, after a few tries, was leaving Frank with a bullet in his leg.
Max would never leave things like that, and it should have been a forced rewind,but I guess the devs wanted to try the "Max can be bad" route. It doesn't work because there's very few 'evil' choices and the ones that are are just being an asshole. Like killing Pompidou either time (In that scene or at the diner in Ep 3) or killing Frank.
I will say that from watching a YouTube video of after Frank dies that Chloe shows maturity by saying she's turning herself in. But it's not needed. That choice is Just trying to shoehorn in "choices matter" or morality and tragedy, even if it just detracts from the story and makes no sense for the characters to go along with. That was around the point in the game where the writer-induced stupidity went into overdrive and the story became a mess.
Lesson learned though, do NOT piss off Chloe or try to hurt Max in front of her.

If they wanted an evil Max route they should have done something along the lines of this:

If they wanted to do an Evil-Max route they could have do so easily by making her more like an RPG character. But they didn't. They chose to give Max a defined personality from the start and that personality is her being a very nice and caring girl.
Which is why the few options that are bad just feel out of place.

Even when he killed Chloe originally it was an accident because he was a dumbass and pulled it loaded, chambered, and with the safety off.

I thought that the time, and still do somewhat since nothing disproved it, that Warren was drugged. Nobody drink one beer and then gets like that. My guess was that Jefferson saw Max coming to the dance (And by this point knew her and Chloe found the Dark Room) so he drugged and drink and gave it to Warren to offer to her since he knew he was crushing on her. But instead Warren decided to start drinking it. So he walked outside, found Max and Chloe, acted like a fool and took the picture, then stumbled off and passed out.
