Mobility is one of the absolute most powerful things in this game, way way more important than raw damage. They had to nerf D.Va's damage in the beta because she was too mobile and it turns out that flying wherever you want and killing whoever you want and then flying out is too powerful.
However if you're smart, you can still fly around and always be in the right place at the right time. D.Va's strength is that she's always in a favorable fight all game and she's rarely in an unfavorable fight. If you're barely plinking down some support who doesn't have any friends, that's favorable. Keep doing that. If you see your sniper get flanked and start fighting 1v1, fly directly at them and suddenly it's a 2v1. Oh now you hear your capture point being taken, so fly directly there and chase someone away. A huge fight breaks out at you can either stay with your team and beat up tanks, which you do reasonable short range damage on, or you can fly away from the fight and chase down that faggot squishy hero with 20 health. Everywhere you go, you are winning a fight. If you start losing a fight, just fly away, or put up your shield, and go find a fight you can win.
Sleeper tech: her shotgun can hit people across the map for 1 or 2 damage and doesn't need to reload. This is so you can see every enemy's health at all times. Nobody else can see enemy health levels at the same rate. So when you see some Mercy run by on some rooftop you know whether she has 200 health or 30 health. Guess what you do if you see she has 30 health.
Mobility is incredible, learn how to play Tracer and Winston and D.Va and Lucio and you will start to understand Overwatch.

Zarya is my new project, I KNOW she's fucking good because I play against them and they're goddamn unkillable lightsaber wielding rapists. When I play her I spend all game trying to get charge until I get sick of it and get myself in bad situations trying to deal damage to myself. I used to complain about Mei a lot, but I've come to realize she isn't THAT bad.
Literally the only change she needs is her slow not reducing your turn time to 1/1000th.
Doesn't feel like there's any counterplay when she tags you and can strafe faster than you can turn.
Maybe they could reduce her max ammo a bit too. Being able to M1 for a solid 10 seconds is dumb.
The only thing worse than getting frozen by Mei and right clicked to death is when that happens but her face is right in your screen and she has that stupid shit eating grin on her face as your face gets filled with icicles.

She's a lot stronger in games and maps where there is constant fighting to keep your energy at a % that makes you not hit like a wet noodle.

Yeah, D.Va is my most played and I barely ever use the ultimate to try to kill people. There are situations when it's good.
You can ult when your mech is about to blow up from taking too much damage anyway. This gives you a free reset on your mech so you don't have to stay in Korean girl form and can get right back to meching it up. Sometimes it's fine to be in Korean girl form though.
If I know where the enemy is, like if they have all just spawned or we have sniper wallhacks, I'll chuck it over a building just to see if I get lucky. If someone shoots it across the ground it's piss easy to avoid, but chucking it over a building still nets me random triple kills sometimes. Not enough to be a reliable strategy but it's there and doesn't really cost anything.
The absolute best way to use it requires you to completely deny the retreat route from an enemy. If they're pushing at you and your Torb turns on his rape turret, they're all probably going to run away. You want to put your mech right in the big open area where they would be retreating to. Maybe it won't get kills, but your Torb will shred them. Maybe they'll run away from the Torb turret and explode. Putting it next to where the enemy is fighting is always better than putting it where the enemy is fighting. If the D.Va ult IS the threat, they'll run away from it. If they're running away from what they THINK is the threat, sometimes your sneaky D.Va ult will catch them.
That being said her ult is the weakest part about her, I routinely go games without ever using it to get kills, I just use it to reset my mech cooldown.

Most people at least in higher tier games really do not like giving you energy. But you're still an amazing defender and delayer. A shield on a squishy means an extra sword hit from genji, or a save from a mcree stun, roadhog hook, dva ult, junkrat ult. I find that even with a low overall charge, Zarya can still pretty much maintain a high presence in the game. To speak nothing of your ult which pretty much wins the game if you catch the Mercy (and kill before she flies out) in it with 2+ other players.
Honestly i feel like Zarya is a top solo Q hero, my win rate with her is over 80% easily even with dipshit teammates. 200 hp with 200 shields, relatively small hitbox compared to other tanks with a short cd shield if you decide to go for her teammates, a shield for herself if you go for her. Easiest ult to use with a suck in range half the map. Basically a better mei ult.
