Commando was good as it was, I don't understand what moved them to change it. It consistently hits 500+ kills with it, can take care of big ZEDs with xbow if the team is really struggling with them, and it's a huge help to the team with ZED Time extensions and Call-Out. It's a strong class, I don't think it needs any upgrading.
How do you handle scrakes with the LAR exactly? I noticed a headshot on fleshpounds stuns them like an xbow bolt but on scrakes I headshot them 6 times in a row and it does shit all

I want to make an extra-long game mode.
15 or 20 waves, culminating with over 40 fleshpounds spawned but not too much trash. Something like 500 - 700 zeds at the last wave, including like 80 scrakes and 40 fleshpounds.
How to fix the ammo issue without making early waves OP? Ammo crate buyable at the trader. Small crate for equivalent of 6 ammo boxes for like £2k at trader, that you fill with ammo for additional £2k. Medium crate for 6k, maybe 20, great crate for 10k+. Balance the cost of ammo and content of crate accordingly.
Support gets ability to carry the crate for nearly no speed reduction, everyone else can carry a small crate for 25% speed reduction, then 50% then 75%. You can drop the crate but if you just leave it and run away, zeds will destroy it. It would only penalize kiting if you don't have a support. It would be too expensive to have in early waves but affordable later.

As for Commando, why the hell we need double amount of 50% mag increase? Eat Lead can be piercing rounds so it actually rewards you for lining up specimen, yet it would come pretty handy when you go full auto.
As for health increase, I wouldn't do that either. I'd give them a slight speed buff for a few seconds when they use syringe or receive medical attention.
The thing is at least they realized, they fucked up badly and they're losing player base rapidly. Well, to be honest, you can choose faster reloads over more damage.
Commando already pops heads with one shot, and that extra damage won't make a significant difference.

I don't have half of the issues you guys have, this game is a lot of fun even after 500 hours played and honestly the balance is nowhere as bad as you make it sound. Sure, zerk+medic as a combo is way better than say commando+medic but that's not a bad thing. The point is not to have all classes equally strong in all aspects, but to have complementary classes. A team with a good commando and good support rarely leave any work to do for the zerk, as the scoreboard usually proves.
TWI can still suck a dick for that VS and hats bullshit though.

They're reworking the incap system, so if I had to bet I assume they'll give SS skills based around disabling enemies with trick shots.

The Zedconomy debut was an avoidable disaster, the PvP debut was a colossal failure.
However, those issues aside, the gameplay is not beyond saving. There are serious issues of balance but nothing that utterly destroys KF2.
Either way, don't expect any real changes to anything until the SS Update.
Tripwire will want to maintain the illusion that they're hard at work producing lots of new content, so they'll hold everything back until then.
Why release improvements in increments when you can hold them all back until one big date and then say SEE HOW HARD WE'VE BEEN WORKING LOOK AT ALL THIS STUFF.
The Commando changes? Demo changes? Incap and Weaknesses? New character? New maps? Watch. You won't see a piece of that until the Sharpshooter deployment is ready. They will hold it all back until they can release it all at once as a FREE CONTENT PACK. Watch.
Whether SS comes at the end of June or the end of August, that is what they will do.
