I've watched the London footage a dozen times, maybe. I've seen every argument people have against it being a downgrade, I think.
The game really does look totally different. It's not different angles, it's missing fog, no texture meshes on some objects, even more. People said all kinds of things like this about DAS2 when the first downgraded footage came out. The reality is that we won't know for sure until Jap release because FROM has mislead consumers in the past with footage, builds, and screenshots.
We can argue about it all we want but there's no way to know for sure.

I dunno, with the harder to pull off backstabs and increased speed (factoring the BB style ring and seemingly low stamina consumption which may change or be nullified with bigger weapons/armour) it could be quite aggressive or at least have a place for aggressive fast assaults. I'd be interested to know what Miyazaki's thought process was, though I consider the the dragon overall less egregious or obnoxious than their decision with the Heide Knights. The Heide Knights thing really annoyed me.

So I just played DS2 and I'm currently on the scorpion girl. The game looks beautiful and is fun to play, but when do boss fights get good? They have all been the same boring shit. Makes me even miss BoC holy shit.

Heide Knights being in Heides Tower of Flame makes way more sense than them being scattered around, you still have 2 random ones but both of those actually sort of make sense one being lost in a hole the other locked up.
Royal Swordsmen being in the ruins of the castle that is the FotFG makes perfect sense.
What I'm trying to get is that instead of looking at the changes and trying to make sense of them, you just look at the changes and went "THIS IS DIFFERENT THEREFORE BAD" the royal swordsmen is the best example, nothing in the lore ever states that they are supposed to be in the bastille exclusively and you find them in Castle Drangleic later on, but instead of running with this fact you just assumed that they were bastille knights and then ragged on the changed placement for going against your HEADCANON rather than what is explicitly stated in the game

He's right though. A boss fight can't be fun unless it's hard. Isn't this what the Souls series is about, anyway? Every time you die, you're having fun. Bed of Chaos and the platforming in Anor Londo is some of the funnest shit in the series, after all. Laurence is the hardest boss in Bloodborne, and everyone knows he's also the funnest.
