Chibichuki is better than Carnival Phantasm, except no one realizes it since it'll never come in easy to digest anime format, or translated.
Carnival was just based on Take Moon. Which wasn't that great, but a lot of love was put into the anime so the presentation worked out a lot better. Although a few of the changes they made from the manga were strange as well I would note.
I'd say that AATM was better than it as well.
