It was good, but not as good as when I used to play it years ago.
However I have a feeling that's because even after so many years I still have everything about this game fresh in my memory so everything wen't ridiculously fast and no puzzle required effort.
Hell, I've never had any pretense of collecting all the shit in the past, but I could effortlessly find every magic bean spot, about 60 skulltulas and I was only lacking 3 or so hearts. All that with no backtracking or blind exploration, just by remembering where to find these pieces here and there.

It's actually a pretty good game with just some weird plot things assuming you're okay with love stories being a big part of the game. Some characters are a little vapid as well (I hated Rinoa for the majority of the game and Selphie can just up and die), but some of the more secretive things in the game are fun to get if just lacking in a bit of lore.

I've played it three times now. My first was when it was fairly new and I just blindly went yahoo over the whole thing. I loved Earthbound when I was younger. Older sister and I rented it a few times and finally beat it at 4 am after a while.
I even replayed it a bit a few years later, but when I tried to play it again recently I couldn't do it. I got to Twoson but trying to get to the next area just felt like such a bore. Felt like I was being forced to grind, and there wasn't much strategy involved in the battles. I stopped playing.

Being a cold-blooded, stealthy murderer is god tier. I had way too much fun murdering innocent maids than I'm confortable admiting.
My only gripe is how powerful you were in that game. Had to go out of my way to limit my abilities and roleplay a particular playstyle.

I killed ExDeath and Neo Exdeath with the Gil throw Ability that the Samurai has. Coupled that with Mime in 5 makes nearly every enemy easy killings.

Honestly truthfully yea it is, the thing is you won't even notice that the game is going full speed on you later due to the school stuff and social links keeping the pacing pretty slow. You only notice how far you really hard when the game itself pretty much point out that you only have a month or so left.
I would recommend it because I like it better than P4. Though the menus may be less user friendly the game have overall more to it. If you do end up playing it then don't over grind for the final boss. They hype Nox way too fucking much when she is kinda a joke of a boss. You can easily kill her with the Protag soloing. Treating her like a real treat that the game make her sound like will only lead to disappointment.

It's a third-person, fantasy, action/adventure game with fun (if shallow) gameplay, nice graphics for the system it released on, good atmosphere, and good music. It's worth a play before games advance so far that it begins to feel like crap to play. I'd suggest playing the original first and then enjoying a second playthrough on your 3DS if you like the game enough. Majora's Mask, while overrated, is still a really neat game that uses many of the same assets due to it being made in only a year's time, and also has some really great atmosphere.

That's the one thing that keeps me from selling it. Besides the fact that it's pretty open world, I hear there are tons of upgrades and shit later that make the game even more fun.
I just suck so bad at stealth games and I don't like playing "loud" in games like this because it just feels like you're not "supposed" to. It's like being lethal in Hitman but without the actual penalties. It just feels like the game really "wants" you to be stealthy, not to mention all the alert levels and alerting other bases makes being loud in MGSV even harder.
I always lose interest in it after an hour of play.

to me when i read the phrase "hard to get into" i imagine spending a lot of time investing into something that doesn't pay off. this isn't dark souls where you can invest 100 points into resistance and level up a broken sword (unless you spend points in hacking i guess).
eye isn't really like that. it's complicated in that it's hard to understand just how many moron plans you can make in order to kill your enemies. nothing makes sense but killing dudes because that's what the game is about.
just invest everything into legs, explore things that you think seem interesting, try out all the guns to see which ones you like, get confused every time you open the level up screen because it calmly tells you it's "Time to make your choice".

xenogears - this is probably my favoruite jrpg for all of its flaws. the sheer scope of the game is absurd, the amount of ideas and themes put into it is absurd. if you are fine with generic JRPG gameplay, then absolutely play this.

TW3 DLC - The story is interesting and certain parts of it pull in a lot more Polish myth/fairytale stuff like TW1 Act 4, which is awesome. The gameplay's the same though, so if you were bored by the gameplay in the main game then just don't bother.
Oblivion - Fuck it. You'll spend 20 hours moddin it to make it kind of fun and then probably play it for like three hours and never touch it again because the story and all the quests outside of the Dark Brotherhood and Shivering Isles are boring as fuck.
New Vegas - It's Fallout 3 with infinitely better writing, but pretty similar gameplay. Play it for the story if nothing else.
Neptunia - It's dumb lighthearted fun if you like simplistic but fairly satisfying and quick turn-based combat. Play it if you want to turn your brain off and grind stuff with cute girls, but if you're expecting a decent story or particularly strategic combat then avoid it like the plague.
