I looked up some videos and I don't really get the hype behind this game. Yeah I get that the enemies are really big, but you're just shooting them so their size doesn't really seem to have any impact on gameplay other than changing the environment (destroying buildings). Am I missing something? The gameplay itself seems sort of plain, but I want to like it since you're blowing up fuckhuge shit

It does. But it's still the best performance out of an EDF game. Mostly building destruction triggers frame drops so flat stages or levels where you've already razed all the buildings to the ground are just fine.

I feel exactly the same, man. Bought a PS4 for Silent Hills. Was about to sell it, then they announced EDF 4.1 was coming west. I bought it on launch and enjoyed the shit out of it. Now the thing is fucking worthless. Sucks starting from scratch again on PC though.
