Everytime i see threads on /v/ about NV i get interested to play it again
I started to play the game and got through until i reached the place where they have the Glowing Ghoul along with some Brotherhood guys. I stopped playing the game because i just coudn't stand the FPS aspect of it, it felt really still and clunky
Is there any mod that fixes this? I only remember getting enviromental mods that made the game look awesome (And Project Nevada)
It seems like a great experience but i wish it played more like HL1 or CS1.6 (Only the FPS aspect of it), or anything more fluid than the shitty FO3 engine

Personally, I've used the instant headshot death mod (has exceptions like pistol shots when wearing helmets and some calibres or other shit) and Project Nevada tweaked to all hell and back to my personal liking of everyone being crippled in a few rifle shots on that limb to give a sort of STALKER feeling to it of intense gunfights.
If you want some added difficulty, which never hurts, I recommend you get the true wasteland economy mod for a fun easy time.

Also, dogs would have been better preserved by people than cats. Cats were domesticated by hanging around humans, picking off rodents, and purring. Dogs are of direct utility as guards, bird dogs, scent dogs, and even livestock in the event of a survival catastrophe.

Here's the thing: The great nation state that Caesar wants to build? The culture that will not only survive the wasteland, but thrive in it? It's not the Legion.
He has spent decades absorbing tribes, eradicating cultures, enslaving and killing people to create one half of what he considers to be the ideal wasteland nation. The other half is NCR.
Until he conquers NCR, and it's incredibly unlikely he will, all he's done is create one large raider tribe that follows his cult of personality, not his ideology or philosophy, one that wont long survive his death.
The natural evolution of a wasteland society out of a bunch of backward tribals would take longer but be so much better for everyone in the grand scheme of things.

I wouldn't say it's incredibly unlikely, either, he's got spies, a solid military, and understands the weaknesses of the NCR. He's certainly still at a disadvantage,compared to them, but I don't think a victory for him is implausible.

Gameworld =/= Setting. As a RPG with branching paths and what not, underdeveloping one of the major factions is a major flaw.
The world map of New Vegas is a shrinked version of the geographic areal present in the lore in which locations are picked based on relevance to plot and gameplay.
You can make an equal number of faction specific locations and show the primacy of the NCR through other means(IG politics, more NCR than Legion patrols, dialogue etc). "Show, don't tell" only applies if you use characters as information dumps instead of their natural interactions shaping the lore, such as in the case of that merchant in Legion territory.

There is no guarantee those tribes would've evolved naturally, or in the way that Caesar wanted them to, before the NCR swept in and annexed/assimilated him. They are not evolving in a vacuum. It's not "incredibly unlikely" at all that Caesar won't conquer the NCR if you run a successful Legion playthrough. He desires New Vegas because it provides an iconic city and the makings of a less militaristic culture to build an empire off of.

It's very unlikely. Do you know why NCR is in a position to lose the Second Battle of Hoover Dam despite having the numbers and elites to effectively march across the Colorado and take the fight to Caesar?
Because the NCR's army is run by an idiot. A man who deliberately sets things up so he can play gloryhound and beat the Legion assault in a meatgrinder, his troopers versus the Legion's best. Because he's a traditional soldier and offended that elite Rangers got all the credit for winning the First Battle of Hoover Dam. A man so incompetent he can't even defend the Dam properly in the final battle.
Whatever the Legion makes up for in Frumentarii and sheer brutality, they lose out by being tactically inflexible and far too reliant on their chain of command to keep a battle going. In a proper war fought by competent people it wouldn't even be a fair fight.

That's not how developers prioritize things. The content that most will experience will receive the most polish and focus. More players will be drawn to the NCR than they will the Legion. Thus, the NCR has more content. There are still Legion options for almost every NCR-related quest, however. Helios One, Forlorn Hope, Camp McCarran, the Strip, etc. all receive Legion content. The Legion just has fewer civilian locations because there's no reason for them to establish towns in what is, for them, a hotly contested warzone.
