>NPC tells me about some murder
>ask about the about the murder victim
>"literally who?"
FUCK YOU MAN
Only the highest quality
>tfw morrowind memers constantly talk about how le based text-only dialogue is and how superior it was in morrowind but all of the npcs are just walking billboards.
>>334767096
still more imersive than skyrim
>>334767096
they're talking billboards in skyrim and oblivion. text has more flavor to it
>>334766794
le orcs are dumb meme
I like how TES has 100 things you can ask an NPC and 99.5/100 of the responses are 'wut?' except for maybe once in a blue moon some random nameless shitter NPC will wax poetic about some random arbitrary topic
quality Bethesda writing
>finish the main quest
>every single NPC in the game greets you with the exact same wall of text thanking you
>>334767682
>by the nine, it's you! The hero of kvatch
>>334767682
Better than fucking Skyrim's way of them not even acknowledging it.
why even bother with its main quest
>>334767390
Not even billboards, seriously, and how much time do you think the guys at bethesda wasted on making these useless npcs?
>>334767390
>text has more flavor to it
>DAGOTH UR WILL RISE AGAIN
Solstheim
>A TERRIBLE PLACE I'VE HEARD BOAT FROM KHUUL

relevant

The problem is that we should have moved forward from the great stepping stones that Daggerfall and Morrowind were, instead we rolled down all the way to the bottom.

Why are you including Morrowind?
It was the first huge step back from what Daggerfall tried to do, and was ultimately the death knell for the series.

In what way? Daggerfall was 99.9% uninteresting carboard. Sure, the remaining 0.1% is amazing and, since the game is huge, it's also a lot, but I still prefer Morrowind's direction of trying to have as much meaningful content as possible.
seen any elves? ahahahahaha
