Let's face it /v/, Nintendo obviously doesn't know how to create decent hardware anymore. In fact they've almost always been behind in terms of hardware power.
But where they do excel at is making games. Now imagine a scenario where Sony absorbs all of Nintendo first party studios. Sony is well known for the most part of sitting back and letting their studios be creative and not getting in the way of their ideas.
Nintendo would be able to create new ideas beyond what they could normally without being limited by their subpar console efforts.Not to mention with the combined forces of Sony and Nintendo we could finally drive all the shitposting PCFags back to r/masterrace

The Wii U is the only exception, but it was released to compete with the 360 and PS3 when those two consoles were winding down and preparing for their next iterations. Nintendo should have held off and matched the Bone and the PS4 a couple years later.
At the same time, if you look at all consoles prior to the PS3/360 had 4-6 year console lifespans. The Wii U has been out since 2012. They will discontinue it at the end of this year. That stands in line with prior console gens.

Nintendo is gutted. Their creative team is shuffled around to make more The Last Of Us and work on Last Guardian until the end of times. They are told to put out yearly releases and make exceptionally gimmicky games for whatever the newest feature is... then not given enough time to develop the game properly. Then the Nintendo brand name gets shipped around, slapped onto any product that Sony hopes to make a quick extra buck on.
So, basically, like every other Sony studio.
