I'm always amazed by Nolan's masterful use of cinematography as a story-telling device such as with these two images. Take note of CIA in front of the plane. It is a well balanced shot where man and horizon form perfect quadrants on the frame. Together they act as Cartesian axes, intersecting to create an origin around which the rest of the world is ordered. This is clearly an image of a man who thinks he's in control. CIA stumbles for the first time in this moment, partly rustled by the turbulence, partly taken a back by Bane's ability to speak, but primarily shaken by the tremors of the crumbling system of order he had built and maintained in the figurative image of the Agency. As CIA and Bane converse face to face it is Bane who remains steady, whereas CIA shakes in frustration as he struggles to restore order with idle threats. It is then that we see the second plane approaching the first, both of which take on an axial form (plane) from the wings and fuselage. The one "plane" flips the other, turning CIA's world upside-down. In the midst of chaos and a broken system Bane establishes himself as a new order, pic related. With his heart at the origin, his body becomes the vertical and horizontal axes, and all space around him is a new Cartesian plane risen from the ashes of CIA's order and metric. As the shell of an old world drops away orientation and verticality is restored.

I was able to transfer save from pirated to paid steam version and got online to work.
Here is the method I used.
1. Download conversion tool from here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=192292605&postcount=579
2. Put your pirated save file in the same dir as exe, keeping the name as DDDA.sav; you can find it in C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\Roaming\Steam\CODEX\367500
3. Put your proper save file from Steam version in the same dir as exe, naming it DDDA-orig.sav; find it in B:\games\Steam\userdata\<your-steamid>\367500\remote
4. Convert both files to text using commands
DDsavetool -u ddda.sav
DDsavetool -u DDDA-orig.sav
You should expect to see this output in console:
Unpacked save to ddda.sav.txt
Unpacked save to DDDA-orig.sav.txt
5. Open DDDA-orig.sav.txt in text editor and find out your own steam-id in one of last lines:
<u64 name="mSteamID" value="76561197980142539"/>
6. Open DDDA.sav.txt in text editor and replace the line with pirated steam-id with your own you found in last step.
7. Run this command to create proper save file for Steam:
DDsavetool -r ddda.sav.txt

8. Put newly created save file ddda.sav to where you originally got it, B:\games\Steam\userdata\<your-steamid>\367500\remote

It's retarded, not because it makes things harder but because it boots XP and gold received considerably. So you choose hard because normal gets boring really fast and then they still try and make the game easier anyway.
Hard mode does:
>Damage taken by the Arisen is greatly increased
>Enemy stagger resistance increased
>Experience gained increased
>Gold drops SIGNIFICANTLY increased
>Stamina consumption from special attacks increased
At the start of the game basically every monster will have an attack that can one shot you, and large monsters will one shot you with basically any attack. As you level up you start taking less and less damage until you overcome these shortcomings.
I haven't played enough in hard mode to say if it's good or bad, i can only say that normal mode became one of the most boring and dull gaming experiences i have had in a while by like level 35did not play BBI though

Dragons dogma fans are often blind to a lot of the problems in the game.
- The lack of interesting characters and general poor writing/story before the fight with grigori (90%) of the base game.

- Largely boring colour scheme

- useless NG+ moode
- frustrating damage threshold mechanics, especially in daemonheim

In addition, it's incredibly obnoxious to see DD fans discredit other series like souls combat, while DD's combat allows for large scaling of monsters and interesting special abilities, the combat doesn't feel nearly as weighty or satisfying in close quarters 1-1 combat as souls does, where there is a much greater test of challenge.
