Dragon's Dogma customization and overall choice in similar games always makes me somewhat downcast, because I always go for the generic body type. Sure, I can choose to be a boy going on an adventure, a magical girl or a female warrior but I think it would clash with the tone of a playthrough, namely because I want to wield a giant sword and putting it into the hands of aforementioned 'types' would look silly. I don't like self-inserting but this is more of a coherence matter, it would be different if the game didn't leave me a choice in character creation which is actually something I have learned to prefer in vidya.

Troubleshooting time. I plug in my DS4 and try to use it as an Xbox controller, but when I do, the HUD changes from Generic Controller to Xbox Controller and when I go back to the menu to change it, it changes back to KB+M. I'd personally swap out Mitigator with Challenger. You're going to want heavy elemental damage for the Bitterblack bosses (Gicel for Goreclops, Fulmination for Homogres, etc). Mitigator is something I'd put on a Ranger because their fast firing speed, heavy damage from the ten-shot, and the aimbot (Ranger is like the one class Pawns can do better than the player) that pawns use means that a Mitigator!Ranger can clear out pawns fast.
