At the time i was craving a survival game like that after watching a ton of animal documentaries. I checked gameplay videos and thought it looked cool. I didn't know what "Early Access" was though so i bought it for full price expecting a full game.

There's nothing much to do after you get shelter unless the creators allow monsters to destroy structures, and then you'll sperg players out too much and lost most of your fanbase. Also you'd need to get in-depth to the point where there are dozens of ways to tackle a problem like in real life, but no game will do that because it's boring to program and most people who make survival games have ADHD.
How To Survive 2 is pretty solid tho.
